    I really like the direction that you have taken with your videos. A journey where the viewer is immersed in imagery and the story being told without a lot of unnecessary speaking. You have a gift of showcasing our beautiful planet. Great work as always.

    The redwoods are an amazing place! I live with them all around me and I can never get enough of their smell and simply in awe of them every time I explore. Norcal for life!

    Love how peaceful this was. Really like the style of storytelling without words and you're the first photographer I've seen pull it off like this. When did you go to the redwoods? I'm hoping to see the flowers in the last week of may

    The opening shot where the viewer has a few seconds to take in the scene with what appear to be regular sized trees and ferns - Then you walk into the frame - Sure made me re evaluate the size of those trees :) Brilliant!!

      NICK-- I did as you suggested and watched Supercell and Storm light! WOW! The SC photos of the Eye of the storm is the Greatest photo of it's kind I've ever seen in my lifetime and NICK I'm 75 yrs old and some photos you took of the Storm light of lightning which included the old farm house and grain elevators! Very little commentary hits it out of Park! Randy B.

    Simply AWESOME images, Nick! Your time and photographic experience in the Redwood Forest has yielded superb images indeed! I appreciate all the more, because many years back, I took my family on a tour of same, but only had 1 hour...as you know, far less time than truly required! That said, I did come away with one image that I was proud of...a vertical close-up of the majestic trees, taken with a Pentax 16mm (35mm equiv = 24mm, which I learned was not nearly wide enough!.) Thanks again sir, and keep up your inspiring work!

    Love this type of content. As a fellow NW photographer and content creator it gives me some inspiration. I see you use a Sony for photos. What do you use to shoot videos? You ever think of doing a video tutorial? I shoot with a Nikon Z6 and Canon T7i personally. Trying my best to learn all I can to make sure I get the best video quality when filming.

    Nick thanks for your chanel and teaching us your techniques in how it is done. I see the foliage on this video is ultra sharp. I have been shooting my R5 with 24-105 and foliage looks washed out. I've done it at F8 ISO 100 1/80 on tripode . Do you think it is the lens?

    I had a feeling I'd like this video by the title & thumbnail. Nick, you did not disappoint! You also reminded me that I need to take my umbrella with me when I leave TX for the PNW. Of course I'll ditch it when I'm in the city, so as not to look like a tourist. I've been looking forward to going back since I left in 96.

    Hello Nick, I’ve just recently been watching some of your videos I haven’t subscribe to your channel yet but thinking of doing so , I’ve been into photography for a lot of years but just never really yet very serious about it as I work a full-time job, but do enjoy it and find it very relaxing. One question though for you worry about having your camera and gear out in the rainy conditions I just have a Nikon D 3500 and I’m worried about having it in any kind of rainy conditions so any advice you could give would be appreciated

    Great video Nick, then forests look insane! Specially with all that fog. Very interesting coastline aswell very unusual for me to see such greenery up on the cliffs. We don’t get that so much here in the uk

    Great great great video. I’m from Oregon originally but haven’t lived there for over 15 years. This video took me back. The coastline from Big Sur all the way up the Oregon coast is one of my most favorite places to photograph.

    One of the things I have started doing with your videos past couple of months is pause as soon as they start...manually set it to 4K ...let it buffer for a couple of seconds..& then click play...awesome work ! loved the photo @3:15 !
    I see you were using the CTC ball head...whenever your schedule permits can you please do a review or first hand impressions video of it?...I have ordered the medium ball head with clamp & a 4 series tripod from them..I guess they are yet to start the production ... Would love to hear your thought on it...

    Redwoods, rhododendrons, ferns and fog…throw in our Northern California, southern Oregon rugged coast, you can’ t convince me there is a more beautiful place on Earth.

    Great video Nick some super images, we have nothing like the redwoods in the UK but if you are every over here in the county where I live, Sussex we have fantastic rhododendron bushes which are massive in size. Great work

    Inspiring and gorgeous Nick; you show us how to find awesome beauty in simple settings. Watching you slipping on the trail going to the sunset location made me wonder how you got back safely in the dark after sunset. Would like to see a session on those Kase filters.

    Nicely done. The first 2/3 of the video wonderfully captures the unique quite of a walk thru Redwood giants. It always feels like being in the forest primeval with a dinosaur waiting around the next bend in the trail. Great images and a helpful view of your "process." Was this Avenue of the Giants in Nor-Cal? Thanks. Just subscribed.

    7:00 totally thumbs down because you started talking. LOL...Just messing. It takes a special account to go the first 7 minutes of a Vlog telling a moving pictures story. Not all Vloggers can pull it off, but you're one of the exceptions. I follow about 100+ "landscape" vloggers, and I know of one other that does it well, but most are probably not at a maturity level to pull it off. I love these kinds of vids Nick. Outstanding work!
