Hey so I see your finished effect doesn't have bright white in the middle, but then at the end of this video you show slides of it with white, when you blend it using color dodge it looses the bright white in the middle, how do you get the white to stay? do you add another layer on top and keep it white + gausian blur?

No I don't add anything to it, it just the impact of the background color, so just experimenting with background color

Make sure your background is not black but it must be very very dark blue

How did you make it so that the middle is really white? Following your steps, the middle part will always be tinted blue?
Bcoz background color is blue you have to select white colod in background
