Hey, that wasn't quite all. Sips stupidily skipped the credit scene where Elaine stands at the hole and wondering what happened to Guybrush and hopes LeChuck haven't put a curse on him (which explain the whole thing). I know the ending sucks but that's not the end of the series. It is sort of explained in the sequel The Curse of Monkey Island (my favorite of the series, that story is much better than MI2 as well as the ending even if they rushed it due to time restrictions). Just play or watch a playthrough or let's play of MI3.
Ask Sips about it, not me. But I do want him to play the other MI games cuz if you LP:ing the first two you have to do them all or you'll disappoint the fans.
Also, it is not explained at all in the sequels if LeChuck really was Guybrush's brother but my theory that he really wasn't, he was just lying to him in order to insnare Guybrush easier and to make sure that if he was successful or beating LeChuck he had a backup plan to trap him in The Carnival of the Damned (Big Whoop theme park).
How does the ending suck? It literally shows you in the last scene how it was all kids messing around. The weenie hut, the ticket in the chest, the guys talking about loading the truck, the fortune teller in the coin booth. You're just a bitch

Sips, how dare you skip the credit scene with Elaine wondering what happened to Guybrush and if he was put under a curse by LeChuck, which explains the dumb ending. So glad that they made MI3 even if Ron Gilbert wasn't on the Project.
Ron Gilbert left LucasArts after MI2 to start his own game company Humongous Entertainment that did the series of adventure games for kids such as Freddie Fish, Putt-Putt, Pajama Sam and Spy Fox.
He was somewhat involved with the Tales of Monkey Island but he didn't write the story or anything like that, he was the "Monkey Island Consulant".
Don't know, ask him. Hopefully he will in the future.
I'm glad Sips completed this, however, I felt an ache in my psyche.
Also, I would love to see a playthrough of the first Monkey Island Special Edition.

Actually the ticket is the "All day inclusive pass" for the Big Whoop Amusement Park. That's the ultimate treasure for a child who wants to be a pirate. That was the original plot. Since Ron didn't work on later sequels everything was changed. The amusement park is an illusion in Guybrush's head, created by LeChuck to trick him into riding a ride that will turn him into a skeleton. That's what MI3 tells us. So you can choose which one you want to be true :)
The Cave video the other day was amazing, it'd be great if you could play The Cave all the way through, absolutely loved this playthrough :)

All the refrences are hilarious! This is the era when games were awesome, not for graphics but actual content.

for people who do not understand the ending: the whole pirate world was simply a childhood fantasy where guybrush just imagined everything, none of it was real.
I wouldn't mind a playthrough of the cave. I'm watching Zoey's, and its fun to see the storyline of the time traveler, monk, and adventurer. But I have to admit, you had made me curious to see the storyline of the Knight and the Twins, Sips.

Pretty much, heres what I got from the ending. In the end, it turns out that you were really just a kid playing pirate. Your brother, chuck, was sent by your mom and dad to find you. That guy at the end was a janitor, who saw you two fighting.
Day Of The Tentacle has great puzzles and is really funny too

I just finished the first game (have never played the second) and when I saw that it came out in melee island I literally could not contain myself. While playing through the first one, that door was bugging the shit out of me.

Looking forward to any new playthrough. Liked the Evening with Sips of the Cave,and since 1/2 of the areas are character-dependant your playthrough would be quite different from Zoey's.

When I've been watching this series, I've been kind of confused about the amount if actions in the game you remember. Even though I was a bit younger when I played this... well, still, I didn't remember even close to as much ad you did. Quite impressed!

Monkey Island 1 was really good Sips. I agree with the others in that you should play either MI1 or MI3. PLEASE!!!! This is my favorite play through. The first time when you thought you lost your save, I wanted to know what happened so bad that I actually got on the Xbox Marketplace and purchased MI1 and MI2 on the spot! Best games ever!! It really sucks that Lucasarts had them and now they sold out to Disney as well. Ron Gilbert said in December that he planned on asking them for the rights!!!
