This bass line is just perfect. This band makes my day so often it's not even fair.
For those who aren't musicians and for those who are but haven't done studio work...what you see here in 3 min 55 sec is made to look easy with smiles and such but it is NOT. This is the culmination of so much work on everyone's part. Everything being so tight and the high levels of musical synergy is really really rare. Great job everyone on SIL.

Very true. I've played live many times and yes, the concentration and energy required are considerable, because you only get one shot at doing it right! It's the same for the Sing It crew, getting it done in a single continuous take.

@@cactuscanuck6802I think this is a mixture of live and studio production. Doing many takes and working on the best one. The work that the keyboard player does later is phenomenal. I'm not diminishing the work of the musicians and singers in any way, all of them do great, I am just saying that a very important part of the great work we see is due to this guy

Up to now my favorite exact perfect version cover was the original HSCC rendition of Babys "Isn't it time"... but that may now been supplanted by this. Not only is the vocal totally on point but the distinctive & difficult "rolling bass" line of the original song (produced by Bruce Botnick of the Doors fame by the way) is also dead on. Nice going guys!
