I like how the last scene shows Annie’s vulnerability when she realizes Igor is gave her the ring because he cared for her and not because he wanted or expected something from her in return. It really emphasizes how she sees all her interactions with men who treat her kindly are transactional usually which is sort of heartbreaking. Nice video tho
Just rewatched it & I believe that the best line of the film comes from Igor with - “I like Anora more than Ani.” = I like the real you, more than who you pretend to be.
The last scene, the cry, just hits me so deeply. It’s like she finally find someone that respects and understands her, not objectifying her, tolerate her temper her attitude her physical hit, but also it’s she finally being comfortable and able to release her emotions, her depression that caused by the divorce, by the faded career, fairytale dream. I can feel how big the rock in Anora’s heart is and it’s just really mood oppressing the whole time and finally getting them out in Igor’s arms. Well, maybe another reason this movie is my top1 is because I also like a Slavic boy and I don’t really deserve him that much just like anora not even close to the level as Ivan. I feel like I was having a foresight of my future and it just tore me apart. I have never found a movie as resonant as Anora and I don’t think there will be another one🥹☺️
The thing is someone also mentioned a different perspective of how the ending is also more so a sad realization for her that most men she’s interacted with always wants something from her. Igor was randomly nice to her throughout the movie, even though he doesn’t even know her. In hindsight I feel like he seemed to play the unintentional nice guy and “gets the girl”. So at the end scene he doesn’t stop her from doing what she does and also tries to kiss her.
Today i watched 《Anora》 second time in the theater, found many details i had never found before. Their interaction is very interesting. Annie is like hedgehog, but Igor understands her. Igor is so sweet, and Anora deserves his love.
Thank you for making this, loveee it! Have known about this film since April because I learned Yura was doing an American film, & Igor & Anora definitely became my favorite part. Love the music score you’ve chosen too ahhh 🤍
I really appreciate this video but could you PLEASE change the background music? The whole thing is supposed to be comedic (as seen in the movie) about their interaction. I know there's deep meaning behind yadah yadah but this choice of music is just wrong for these two people. You don't need such mournful and sorrowful music to depict them.
Spoiler warning ok have a question what happened in the end she has sex with and then cries what did she cry I was so confused then he hugged her can someone explain please
I guess she tried her usual way of handling men with Igor to restore the feeling of control, but their connection was more genuine, so she felt even more emotional instead
1- Elegy of the Lost - Dian Shuai 2- Be Close - Indigo Days 3- With You I'm Me - Bonn Fields 4- Behind the Waterfall - Francis Wells 5- A Dream Lost - Bonn Fields 6- Oak Hill - Anna Landstrom
She's a sexworker who is desensitized to trusting others and having real intimacy to do her line of work. Her reaction when she first met Igor was normal as she was scared and abandoned by Ivan with three random men who were holding her hostage. Her attitude was rooted in deep mistrust, which Igor slowly gained over their time together. Her breaking down at the end showed how emotionally broken she was from the dehumanizing experience and overwhelmed when she encountered a genuine person who cared for her instead of taking full advantage of her.

Yury's character is so caring, warm and vulnerable, easy to be liked. And these deep eyes, very well delivered role

"Please stop screaming! PLEASE stop screaming! PLEASE! STOP! SCREAMING!"
-Igor, a new icon in cinema.

Igor stole my heart
For me the real hero is Igor ...he has been through a lot and you can see it in the actors eyes.

Poor Ani just wanted to change her life
Good editing! It’s interesting when he introduces himself and says: I’m Igor - it sounds like Amigo (friend).

*touche*

Igor doesn't deserve that kind of girl and treatment, but oh hey, we're anticipating a character development in part 2 😊
Never seen the movie but I like the guy he seems like a friendly giant lol
Мне так жалко ее 😢

Where did you get the background music?
1- Elegy of the Lost - Dian Shuai
2- Be Close - Indigo Days
3- With You I'm Me - Bonn Fields
4- Behind the Waterfall - Francis Wells
5- A Dream Lost - Bonn Fields
6- Oak Hill - Anna Landstrom

What is this from?
Nevermind! Figured it out!
Anora
Her attitude towards him is horrible. Lady’s do not act like this towards a man it's belittling and dehumanizing. Igor is a great guy
To say nothing of how belittling & dehumanizing every man treats her. She is the hero, not him
@@croweauALL women are heroes!!

Obviously u didn’t understand this film
АХАХАХ БОРИС
Igor suck, only man likes Igor
A woman here, i like him, i definitely don't think he's perfect, but he doesn't suck... at least not for me. May i ask why you think that way?
Nobody is perfect. But Igor is sensitive and empathetic
I watched this movie second time I skipped the first half to watch him again, and cause the second half is soo funny compared to first 🥹
