I love all the improvements from MK4, Deadly Alliance, Deception and Armageddon. These previous named parts as a tetralogy for several platforms in addition with all improvements would be godlike. It would almost be a huge market niche. 👌
i think a remaster of the 3d mk games in an all in one package would be god tier. probably gonna have to nix mk4 tho with how differently it plays since its basically 2.5d

I did think the landing animation seemed a little jank (not a criticism towards you, more towards Midway before they scrapped it) - I'm aware it's due to the original animation from Deception actually having jump much higher - but at the same time it really does add a lot of gravitas to it lol Always was such a badass grab, great job Ermaccer!
@@HahaFunn1Naem Rushing has always been Midway's Achilles' heel. That's why the updates of UMK3 and MKT look so incomplete and rushed compared to MK1 and MK2. And I see now why Armageddon looked so inferior next to Deception.
MKD throw is designed to work properly only on one stage, there would be no point for them or me to port it to MKA as is. I've no idea what was the thought process to recreate it and then leave it.

Your video views are very interesting. Most of them with “Deception” get 2-3x or more views. This indicates there is a strong want for a deception remaster. They could make a new rpg mk, but in this day and age I fear it would have narratives in it that shouldn’t be in games thus being ruined and flop. A remaster of deception armegeddon & shaolen monks would be the best bet.
To me i would say make it where he fly up a little bit higher up i would say when he does that throw, not all the way uplike in the og MKD but, you know what i mean. A little bit higher up is all then its fully perfect 👍
When I extracted all of the animations from Armageddon, I saw a lot of unused animations and even old system mechanics such as the sword impale. Cyrax, like Onaga. Has an unused throw that looks like it was from Deadly Alliance. Are you going to bring a lot of those unused moves back? And odd question, would it be too difficult to script a character like Scoprion in MKA to have a different special move depending on if it was an alternate or normal costume that was selected? He has two different teleport attacks with one being unused and I was just thinking how neat it would be to be able to make one version like his much older version. Swapping his alternate costume model for Monster and having Monster basically be an alternate version of Scorpion.
Cyrax's throw is already fully scripted. For others, probably not. It is possible to change script direction based on whatever costume you have but I'm not sure if MKA has a command like this implemented, I implemented a new MKO command to check alt costume for UMKD. While not the same, my UMKD Tremor uses similar concept to check if you're in weapon stance to execute a different throw.

By the sound of it, would probably require active memory edits like a joker command for a special move swap and costume detection if said specials or the like are already fully scripted/functional to be swapped for. Probably wasting my time on such an idea since the character creator exists and can just make a simple model swap.
Games since PS1 aren't really that different from PC, you have normal filesystem and files when compared to something like 16 bit consoles where everything is bundled together (code and data) on a chip. Same techniques that you use to research PC games can be applied to anything past PS1 (with the exception of N64).

Probably but the issue is that it'd need a new reaction slot and extended toc table which makes sharing it easily out of the question.

I'm not doing any cheats, this is all done through actual script editing.

My only guess is that they didn't want bosses to have unique throws to balance them maybe or something so everyone got the generic MKA throw.
