This random video that I clicked on has turned into the best advice I’ve ever gotten. If I need to “look like Sailor Moon just to brush my teeth then dress like Sailor Moon.” I think I’ve been wearing comfy bed rotting clothes for the past 20 years. I did have health issues for almost 2 decades and were extreme for about 8 years. But I haven’t been able to get out of it, almost like involuntarily bed rotting. Although I do brush my teeth and do basic hygiene, I’ve become a borderline bed rotter and I realize I just need to dress for the occasion like I’m putting on a uniform or a costume. Oh my God how amazing I’m so thankful for your advice. I mean it. I’m gonna take this seriously I think you are great too I’ve never thought of this myself, thank you
I feel like it's so silly, but I always struggle in the morning deciding what to do first: drink water? get dressed? brush my teeth? make breakfast? make tea? wash my face? meditate? do yoga? the choices are sometimes too overwhelming so I'll just stay in bed and scroll instead :') ty for making this vid! tmr I'm gonna try getting dressed first :)
My Granny and Mom always told me “Go put some blush and lipstick on, a lil spritz of perfume, maybe some clean clothes… you’ll feel like a new woman.” And yeah, I’ve had that rule for 34 of my 44 years. Yes, some days I don’t make it past a lil chapstick *maybe* a clean dress, but it is kinda amazing how a tiny bit of “self care” really can help my head space…❤❤❤

Pro tip: make your bed pretty so you want to make it. Make sure to use few enough pillows and blankets that it’s not overwhelming. My golden number of pillows is eight lol. Bed rotting also feels less rotten when you wear pretty pajamas. Something about it feels less like defeat. Fun reusable shower products make showering feel glamorous without having to constantly buy new products. I use exfoliating gloves and a scalp massager. Both of which you can get at dollar tree. Last tip: when tidying, pick up the things that cover the most surface area first. This will make the rest of the work less visually overwhelming and make the task feel smaller.

as a girly who struggles with object permanence I find myself always lining up my things on dressers, desks, counter spaces etc and that makes it super easy to get overwhelming, cluttered, and messy, but if I put everything away I end up accidentally buying repeats of stuff I own, I guess overall I struggle with keeping inventory of what I have. One thing that helps me is using clear organizers for my desk to put art supplies in as opposed to opaque pencil cases or boxes, and another thing is that my dresser has all my bottoms on open faced shelves and not drawers so i can always see my outfit options (that does make mess more visible though). I've also thought about putting labels on my bathroom drawers so i can easily organize, but if anyone has this issue and tips I would appreciate! love an audhd girly

@pixeldressed hi, the next day after that comment I woke up early n finally cleaned my room for the first time after like 5 months since the last time I cleaned it 🥲 I have dressed nicely every day since, even my sister asked if I was going somewhere 😅 I started to use my skincare again after so long n run on the treadmill 🥲 i was in a bad state these past 5-6 months because of the terminal illness n death of the most important person who i love the most in my life. Sorry for saying all these but I hope u know that your video helped me 🥹 thank you 💗

It won’t happen every day, but on days that you hit upon an outfit that makes you feel good, take a photo of yourself in it. Build a little wardrobe photo album. Then on days when you are too brain-blah to actively think of a nice outfit,you have that photo album to refer back to. 😉
i want to go out and dress cute, but everytime i do i get the worst attention from men and its too stressful, so i stay in bed or go out looking like a bum #plshelp #needadvice :,)))
I know that it sucks but try to distract yourself when it happens, like listening to music or even just having air pods in or headphones on. Don't make eye contact with them, and try to carry yourself with confidence. Carry something to protect yourself like pepper spray or a hand held buzzer I hope that this helps ✨
