  • Roasting coffee with a heat-gun doesn't seem to be talked about or recognized much anymore. It's lo-fi and old-school. In this video, I do a few roastings and talk/ramble about some of the elements and things I look for in roasting coffee... with this set up. My hope, in future videos, is to be more concise in my explanations in what I'm doing so you can duplicate and improve on it.
With a little knowledge and some practice, you can put your lo-fi roast up against any hi-tech commercially roasted coffee anytime... and stand proud.

Not really. It's a matter of controlling the external environment, including wind. I've roasted in 20° weather with awsome results. I should make a video on how I did that😮. Thank you for your coment.

Awesome set up! Heat gun coffee roasting is incredibly simple and effective. I have been using the heat gun to roast my coffee for the past few years and it's great! I have to roast in my apartment kitchen so I have to use a ventilation tube to suck out the chaff. Here's my setup - ua-cam.com/video/EXGXj9AlCqY/v-deo.html
