What about the jet version? Any plans for this model going into production? As for pricing, I feel it is pretty reasonable. Look at the price of a new car or pickup truck and I think you’ll agree. Thanks for considering my question.
We anticipate being able to accommodate a number of different propulsion solutions for this airframe that will work within it's designed airframe performance envelope.
I like the SF1 Archon but for the $ 150,000 AUD it's almost in the Risen ballpark which is much cleaner, more polished, twin seater side by side with an epic range and performance with a super panoramic canopy with the back up safety of a ballistic parachute and a superb glide ratio.
@@fisherflyingproducts5747 I realise that and it is unique and asthetically pleasing for the most part, extremely stable at low speeds due to the multi-dyhedral effect of the fuselage which is brilliant for being right side up or banking. If I were to purchase one by the time I was finished the designer would hardly recognise his own creation which for obvious reasons inspired me to bypass the wasted expenses and dive directly into my own ground up build that would eventually compete with both
For us mere Canadian, can we order the sf-1 directly from you, or we have to buy from the american distributer? I find it odd to have to buy a kit from the USA when the place where they make the kit is within driving distance in 5 hours from my place.?
@@fisherflyingproducts5747 nice to know, next time I am driving by I will stop and inquire a bit more on the plane. I was thinking of building an STOL. but after seeing the SF-1 the STOL project is no more!
Under the Basic Instrumentation Package you write: Talos Aelus EFIS with Engine Monitoring. Is that engine monitoring system displayed on the same display ( tablet) as the EFIS? Can you give me a bit more information about the engine monitoring system please? Thank you.
There is going to be discussions regarding the basic package over the next couple of weeks. The Talos equipment is what the designer had chosen but may not reflect what North American customers may want in the panel. We also want to have an airframe wiring package that goes along with it.
@@fisherflyingproducts5747 Thanks for your really quick response. My question was not what your Basic Instrumentation Package might look like but more of a technical question how one integrates (or not) an engine monitoring system with the Talos Aelus EFIS. Or if one has to have a stand-alone Engine Monitoring System and if so what EMS are you looking at. The reason I am asking is that I am building a single seat aircraft and am contemplating the use of the Talos Aelus EFIS but have no idea yet what to do about engine monitoring. Thank you
So, what's the useful load with various engines for the SF-1? The price is okay, but a bit high for a single seat-er IMHO. Can't fault you here for this, all kits are a bit too high priced for my taste these days. Guess wood and aluminum is getting very expensive to source. Plans building is the only way to save any cost anymore....sigh.....at least we still have that.

Thanks for the comment but the Archon is not meant to compete with the Risen

The US distributor is just that. The distributor for the US. I handle all sales outside of the US from our shop in Dorchester, Ontario

You are welcome to stop in and see the prototype in the shop. Let me know the day before you come.

The aircraft can easily fly with a normal sized pilot with enough fuel to generate "excessive smiles"!
Congrats on bringing the Archon to NA! It is the most exciting aircraft design available to mere mortals (civilians)!
How can we get the plans for this aircraft
We will not be offering the plans for this aircraft. We are selling only quick build kits.
Any chance at negotiating a licensing deal with Peter I. to sell just plans?
There is no plan to offer the plans for sale. Sorry.
