This is one of the most requested videos and I am so glad it finally came out! Huge shout to my beautiful subscriber Hadjar and Hana for being a model in this video.

I am also looking for any of you who want to be a model and has deeper skin tone (tan to deep). If you are struggling to cover acne, blemishes or any skin imperfection without foundation, I would appreciate if you could be a model for this concealer 101 series! I will announce it on my IG story soon! Thank you

Edit: they always put product on the back of their hand or on a little plate/mirror and built the product up on the face instead of piling all the product directly on it and it has saved me so much product and for some reason it blends it so much better + it still covers my face perfectly

@@duchess3976 I've been doing this with just my drug store concealers and it works good! Of course you need to find which concealer works best, because some are thick others more liquidy. I think maybe a reason they use more expensive products is because most drug store brands do not have many colours (or mainly undertones). So if you're only going to use concealer and no foundation you really do need to find a decent match, and a brand with lots of options has a higher chance of finding the perfect match (but I did found my shade in drusgstore concealer)

I love how she is being very real to her subscribers by showing us that both texture and acne are normal and you can try to make it less noticeable but the texture won’t magically dissapear just because we are using makeup. Unfortunately a lot of beauty guru use heavy filter in their video to make their skin looks perfect and creating an unrealistic beauty standards. I used to purchase the same products as other beauty guru taught me and i’m very stressed why the results are not the same, the reason is they used good lighting+ heavy filters.

Yesss, finally someone else talking about this method!
I first learnt it from Lisa Eldrige - do check out her video on spot concealing - and it's all I've used since. I find using a slightly illuminating/blurring primer or sunscreen just to even out skin, and maybe a slightly green one if you have very red patches, helps. Most days I only use primer, then spot conceal acne and pigmentation with a high coverage liquid concealer, applied with fingers. PAT DON'T SMEAR! And for the lighter areas of hyperpigmentation I tend to just leave it with only primer on top, and I like how my skin looks more natural. Embrace your skin :)

When I spot conceal I like to use two *slightly* different shades of concealer for different areas of my face, since the center of your face will naturally be warmer in tone than the edges. Normally when you use foundation, you split the difference and put the same color everywhere to unify your skin tone. u're one of the big reason why accepting my flaws became easier. u always remind me that there's no such thing as perfect skin and it comforted me to not put pressure on myself and just accept it and be happy with it: ))) i love youuuu haley!!!

I love this so much! It's the one part of makeup that I've struggled with but really want. I'm now especially looking into creating an every day look without having to use foundation. I'm so excited to try this and find my routine to cover redness/blemishes without having to use full coverage all over my face!

That has been my routine since I was 16. However, I use a make-up sponge, and I don't mean the beauty blender. Gives me really great looking natural skin. BTW: i think it's okay to have some blemishes shine thru. It looks way more natural. Cuz let's be honest, nobody except for babies has flawless skin.

  • @woin9361

I really feel this is a must-watch video for anyone who wants to cover their blemishes or dark spots! I see so many makeup tutorials on Instagram where people pile on thick foundation, concealer, and then powder all over the face from the hairline all the way down to the neck to cover acne or discoloration and I know how uncomfortable and unnatural that feels on the skin.
I also feel it has a psychological effect of making people with blemishes feel like they’re putting on and taking off their mask every day, and covers up so much of their natural beauty that sometimes they don’t feel beautiful without the mask on. What I really loved about this tutorial was that you emphasized using a tiny brush and tiny amount of color-matched product in very thin layers...the finished result was really fresh and lovely. I want to share this with everyone I know who wears makeup!

Really loved this video. It was super helpful and I loved the message your sending to people because flawless skin is impossible to achieve no matter how hard you try. We all have imperfections so don’t stress out if your skin doesn’t look like someone else’s because they have their own skin struggles. Much love ❤️

Yeah like I am the only girl with pimples like that among ALL the girls in my class . They don't get pimples without a skincare routine when I get my skin destroyed after doing skincare almost regularly. She is a teen imma teen and it's pain to hear:
Why do you have so many pimples?
Why don't you go to a doctor?
Is it that allergy you have?
Like honey! It's a teen skin okay , get used to seeing me like that for the next 8 to 9 years..

I want to start makeup but i am so frightened of the whole process. I had tried buying two foundations a few months ago and, despite it looking so great on youtubers and commenters , looked yellow and cakey on me. The waste of money and disappointment really ruined my confidence in makeup.
