Literally nowhere else apart from the US in the world the legal drinking age is 21. When a kid in the US starts drinking, everyone else by that time are already finishing with this stuff. Because the legal drinking age is 18 everywhere. But in the anime it's indeed non-alcoholic drink that they are drinking. Something about alcohol propaganda/restrictions in Japan are a pain in the ass for creators, so they went with non-alcoholic, because it's easier
As funny as this scene is, what was the point? It felt like runtime padding. It was fun, but it felt like a distraction to add more characters to team ‘too many uniques’
