Despite all the jokes flying, I think Gib didn't practice slipping punches enough for it to get set in his muscle memory, so he dodged a couple punches squatting, plus with being taught he can generate more power to punch from squatting, that really became the default. Jake investing in breathing and making sure he was walking into the ring fully calm gave him an edge because his mind could calculate and process steadily. Gib seemed to be overflowing with adrenaline and nervous energy, because his knees weren't moving stable at all really. I thought that heavy breathing was to get his body to compose itself, as opposed to deal with the pain of the tumps he took. The result was peak, but the saga of entertainment continues👌🏾

I'm a competitive swimmer so I understand how Gib could've felt when the occasion got to him. But confidence comes with experience, so if Gib does continue to fight the confidence will grow and the occasion won't get to him.
I sadly think Jake would’ve won this fight in most case scenarios. Jake, even though I hate him, has a lot of natural boxing talent and he’s got the strength to back it up. And Gib probably got nervous and forgot his strategy and just tried to pummel Jake, which caused him to get out boxed. well yes and no, Jake was really good no questions asked but if you see in the starting, gib was actually dodging all of jakes punches. But after sometime he knew that it was a clear opening. Jake already has a height advantage, considering gib to go even lower was just an dumb decision of gib so that just opened up everything and he just started throwing combos where ever it was open (which was mainly his head region)
Completely agree. I don’t like him either but he really did learn how to punch correctly and how to move well. Gib looked like he didn’t learn anything and his punch technique was just awful, he had no power at all.

Jake, as much as I don't respect him, is a hell of talented fighter. Personally looked the most "professional" out of the UA-cam scene. Adjusted to gib in seconds. To be honest, I think it will be very hard for ksi too. Jake is just a natural fighter. This is just the truth.
well yes and no, Jake was really good no questions asked but if you see in the starting, gib was actually dodging all of jakes punches. But after sometime he knew that it was a clear opening. Jake already has a height advantage, considering gib to go even lower was just an dumb decision of gib so that just opened up everything and he just started throwing combos where ever it was open (which was mainly his head region)
Completely agree. I don’t like him either but he really did learn how to punch correctly and how to move well. Gib looked like he didn’t learn anything and his punch technique was just awful, he had no power at all.

An amazing trainer doesn't teach his fighter to crab walk all fight lol he's been training with Gib for over 2 years and it looked like he never boxed a day in his life. So I disagree, Vidal definitely needs to realise he is a big reason why Gib lost.
