Can’t believe you don’t have more followers. Absolutely excellent production and videography is excellent. BFT a ball buster for sure. Did it a few years ago followed up by Quehanna. Not sure which was harder but both excellent trips and great accomplishments. Well done! Thank you for the ride.
I was thinking the same thing while watching this video. At the time I am watching it, it's at 808. I had to look twice thinking it was a mistake. I really enjoy this style of video + I have several of the hikes done on this channel, on my list. Great Vid!, I subscribed! 👍
Hey, my brother and I just finished the Black Forest Trail and I wanted to let you know your video was a big help in planning it out. Thanks, and keep up the great work.
Wow. I am so glad i found your channel. There is so much to enjoy in this video, i am viewing it in sections. Also since i live in the Shamokin, Pa .area i am seriously daydreaming about visiting these trails nearby. Good quality video, clear for sure...Now back to the video itself.Thanks.
Agree with everyone else, amazing production quality, I love the satellite/map cutscenes. This will be an awesome resource as we plan our BFT hike for May. If I had one critique, the video was a little long and maybe could have been paced faster, but that's being picky. Loved it.
The map animations are so helpful! I'm starting to plan my trip for late July and debating on whether to go clockwise or counter-clockwise so this really helps me visualize it. Thank you!
I really enjoyed this video. I've hiked this trail several times when I was a kid (25+ years ago) and I'll be running it in Oct. This has brought back some real good memories and has been very helpful in my planning. I've never brought a camera with me on me on any of my races. I don't plan on doing a documentary like you have but I'd like to take some pictures and short videos along the way. What would you recommend for a camera? Thanks
For this hike I used a DJI Pocket 2 camera. It has very good stabilization when you are running or hiking (but it's not waterproof so bring an umbrella). Otherwise I would recommend either a GoPro or just use your phone.
I hike and do camping in the Catskills. Your videos make me feel i am doing the hike. Other videos show too much of faces, not much of trail or surroundings. Yours is the best!!
Thanks! But I'm afraid a gear video from me would not be very interesting since I rarely buy any new gear. As you can see I wear the same shirt in every video. LOL Glad you're enjoying the videos though.
@@downtoearthadventures1528 gear video are my favorite. New or old. They are very informative. I've always been curious about ir hammock set up and ur pack.
I don't have coordinates for the campsite specifically, but it was only 2 minutes up the trail from the Camp County Line house (1:16:28 in the video). I think it's the first campsite you come upon after passing the house. Camp County Line house coordinates: 41.511603, -77.599225
I record my gps track on my watch, then import the data to Google Earth. There is a Movie Maker feature in Google Earth Pro that lets you create animations. All you have to do is set a few place-marks, then you can create a tour and record the tour as a video. It's extra work, but I think it's worth it to provide some context to the video.
I know that area well, in the 50s and 60s my dad belonged to Camp just south of Trout Run Rd on Rt 44, And have visited the area a lot. Wish I was @25 so I could Hike the trail. But I would stash supplies where trail crosses Rt 44 so you dont have to carry supplies for to 5 days..
Thanks! If I ever decided to hike this trail again, I would probably try to do it in 4 days instead of 3. I think 3 is really challenging, but 4 would be more enjoyable.
It's definitely a challenging trail, but there's really not much to be afraid of out there. The route is well marked and very easy to follow. If you want to see a scary trail, try the Twin Sisters Trail. LOL
Cannot believe you do not have more subscribers, your videos and use of technology is great
That's ok, I'm just glad you are enjoying the videos. Thanks!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I've never done the Quehanna trail but maybe I will check it out. Thanks!

Been dying to get back to PA. Did Minister Creek a couple years ago and want to do a longer trail. Thanks for the great info.

Congrats! Hope you had fun out there. Glad the video helped!

Thanks Luis! Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks! I know what you mean. I don't like seeing too much of my face either. LOL I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I need to learn to make the map animations like you have here. Those are super cool!
Thanks! They are just done with Google Earth Pro and some gps data recordings. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great video. Great channel.
You should so a gear video. I'm very curious. Also great production as always. Love your videos.

Do you have GPS coords for the campsite at 1:17:15?

How do you do those cool pan shots on Google maps with trail progress

Awesome trail but if it kicked your butt I have no hope! LOL....loved watching, though.

Beeindruckend 🙃
Und Du bist mittendrin ?! 🙃✨✨♥️
My son ran the BFT on 10 hours and the West Rim Trail in 5 1/2 hours
That hurt just watching
Sometimes it's a little scary on your (this) path, all alone
