For this reason, today I want to share with you what MULTIGENERATIONAL COMMUNITIES are.
The elderly give their time and expertise to the neighbors, babysitting or teaching or cooking or meeting the children at the bus stop; the experience helps them create meaningful relationships and develop a sense of purpose. In return, the youngsters gain the closeness and wisdom of the foster grandparents. They grow up surrounded by a network of compassionate adults. The neighborhood is designed to ensure that all residents are actively and emotionally involved with each other.
Retirees move into the community with the intention of spending their golden years serving as foster grandparents at large.
It is a place where seniors remain valued, needed and can have purpose literally until they die.
The objective of these communities is to increase active aging and solidarity between different generations, creating new relationships between people who may not have the opportunity to have close grandparents or grandchildren.
In short, make people happier by creating a space to share time.

Aplaudo ésta iniciativa. Es una pena en la vorágine en la que estamos engullidos y difícil salir de ella debido a como nos manejan como sociedad, es complicado trabajar, disfrutar en familia, y de organizar nuestro propio espacio de ocio casi imposible, solo unos pocos privilegiados pueden...el resto del común de los mortales estamos en un redil que si salimos de él sin un plan "b" deconstruir una nueva vida civilmente y socialmente es muy muy muy complicado...no se hasta cuándo ni cómo pero se avecina una nueva era en la que seremos testigos de hechos muy relevantes. Gracias por tu iniciativa. Deseo sea fructífera.
Gracias Raquel. Como bien dices es difícil salir del circulo vicioso en el que vivimos. El actual sistema está perfectamente engranado y cuesta salir de él. Es curioso que cosas tan sencillas como disfrutar de la familia, tener el apoyo de los tuyos, tener una vida equilibrada.... impliquen hacer esfuerzos sobrenaturales. Pero creo que podemos hacer pequeños pasitos hacia una vida más sana, equilibrada, más humana, más sencilla en definitiva. Sin duda ya hay un cambio de consciencia que va a traer cambios profundos en la sociedad. Y estoy seguro que muchos de ellos pasarán por volver a conectar con nuestra humanidad que hemos descuidado. Un fuerte abrazo.

Gracias Josep. Totalmente, proyectos muy necesarios porque la tendencia que está tomando la infancia y la vejez en nuestra sociedad no es muy alentadora.
He disfrutado muchísimo viendo vuestros vídeos, y deseo saber más. Como dónde está localizada alguna de estas comunidades, y valorar si puedo integrarme a este estupendo movimiento.
