Zachary Levi is joined by Nathan Fillion for his second Q&A panel (Sunday) or "Conversation for a Cause" in aid of Operation Smile.
Nathan Fillion is best known for playing "Captain Malcolm Reynolds" on cult hit series Firefly, the ABC series Castle, Firefly continuation feature film, Serenity, and voicing characters in Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach and Destiny. He will appear in Halo 5: Guardians.

Eiffiel in 2014 during one of their panels she donated $ to help someone else get something that they didn't have the money for to help pay it forward again. It was awesome.

The products are symbolic more than anything else.
There's people out there, lots of people, donating to charity without getting OR expecting anything in return. Or they get like a badge or a sticker or something. They do it cause they can, and they want to help.
Same with these folk, but they don't get a badge, they get a t-shirt signed by Nate. I see no difference.

Hell, what they should do is a whole donation marathon. Bring in cool, nerdy guests, have some bits and skits, and maybe even have some gaming thing going on that they can cut to, like perhaps some hardcore gamer trying to do a world record speedrun. They could stream it all live on the internet and have an online donation system going on simultaneously.
That shows the world that nerd's have the biggest hearts. I'm so proud to be one.
You at Nerd HQ should do an online auction so those of us who can't make it can help a great cause and have fun doing it....

I dont mean it that way. I guess it did come out wrong... all I meant was that $500 dollars for shirts and dvds is a bit too much. its great that its for charity and all, but something about the way they're getting the money just doesnt sit right with me personally. it just seems to me like they're taking as much advantage of their money as possible for shitty products
