You do not need to remove it all the way. There is a notch in the bracket that will let you lift the alternator out without completely removing the bolt. It also helps to put it back together. Put that bolt in your new alternator and you can use it to hold the alternator up instead of trying to hold it in place with your hands and get a bolt started.
Nice video bro. Replacing fuel injectors...noticed that the Alternator was piping hot upon removing the intake. Not sure if its normal or not...but I figured I would see how difficult removing the alt was. Very helpful video. Also...what do you think about it being hot? Still charging fine.

How did you take out the bottom bolt out? Mine hits the body of the engine support and can't come out straight.

I am about to go do that later, made it to work and the battery light was flickering and the RPM was bouncing. Just changed the battery yesterday 😢
