Saw B-M at Yokohama Arena. For Akane it was a kind of homecoming, as it was there she first saw a professional band (Ellegarden) playing in concert and decided she wanted to play in a band that would hold concerts in the same sort of venue-dream came true. Akane is the most outgoing of the Maids, and it was the relationships she forged with other musicians and club managers (particularly of Club Eggman) that probably saved B-M in its early years, as those led to referrals and bookings.
And don't forget, MISA has to learn to 5 String for BAND-MAID, as well as Slap Bass. But that wasn't Akane singing. She was just goofing around and miming. Saiki was just off camera singing. You see her come in with a mic at the end. But some people forget that Akane & MISA attended the Tokyo School of Music together. So, not only do they have Jazz chops, but they're in sync as a Rhythm Section. They're probably the best one in the business. But they're all amazing. Kanami is a great composer. Miku is a fantastic Lyricist! And their aren't many singers who can sing the way Saiki does.
