Fun fact: the Sanji episode was referenced in the live-action: the dish he makes is called Blue-Fin Saute and Elephant Tuna is one of the ingredients
Logue Town has some of the best filler, because Oda actually wanted to include a lot more into this arc, but he also wanted to get to the Grand Line by chapter 100, so the anime did it for him
i love how everyone is just cruising around the island and nami keeps finding the boys all doing something different.
nami finds a navy base ... zoros working there
nami hears about a duel ... usopps fighting there
nami finds a cooking competition...sanjis winning there
she's the best navigator in town 😂
Bravery is defined as the overcoming of Fear. Since Ussop is the character with the most fear, he has always been the bravest in One Piece.
It's true that some OP filler is easily skippable but why tell them they should have skipped these 2 eps? These are actually something Oda wanted to put in the manga as well, to give Usopp and Sanji a moment in Loguetown too but he ended up scrapping them cause he wanted the East Blue saga to finish at chapter 100. He had already drawn the Daddy character too.
Most One Piece filler are good LOL & sometime it can be canon for some of the lore
The thing about One Piece is that it's basically >1,000 episodes of filler, and ~100 episodes of plot.
@@MrSporkster my problem with the OP anime is not really the filler, though i don't care about some of them, but the way they started strecthing out canon scenes like crazy. I just stuck to the manga at a point, aside from checking out certain episodes or clips.
@@MrSporkster more like the opposite
@@bluelight17 All animes do that.
„I wanna eat his food“ I think that’s a dream of every one piece fan 😂😫
I imagine it would be like having Gordon Ramsay cooking for you. 🤤
You do know about the Sanji cookbook right?
@@teleporter777 yeah but he is not the one cooking it 🥲😢
@@layanaolayan5776 true...now im hungry 😭
@@teleporter777 it’s not the same bra 😔
“You telling me a shrimp fried this rice?” I see you
Ussop would be the one to have Daddy issues lol
The "I've been looking for you for 10 years" line is immediately weird and hilarious because, unless it is an exaggeration, Sanji would have been NINE when she formed that rivalry! (And they WERE, haha)
That wind moving luffys hat...
Holy mother of god.
Its makes so much sense why it happened.
I am a op fan for 20 years and i just understood implication of weather and wind guiding that straw hat because i have context.
I didnt understood it when i was watching this gor first time and i forgot this happened
But now with context...
Ooohhhh mmyyy goooodddd.
Same! This is why I love One Piece. Even with how long it is, context makes a rewatch worth it.
@@Johnin3D_ Agree! Like Oda might've already planted seeds about the ending of the series in this part of the show, or the previous ones, or maybe here, here, or there. Truly one of the series where first time watching or a rewatch feels the same!
OKAY, I had never watched these two episodes because they are half-filler and as a spanish person I am losing my whole mind, why is that cook lady so extra and so funny.
One pieces filler episodes doesn't feel like fillers
exactly. For the first few years I even didn't know what fillers are and which of the episodes were fillers. I hope so much they won't skip so many because, they are really good.
@@leonie7190 there's like 1% filler in One Piece and it doesn't feel like a force feed or out of the place. it's enjoyable just like normal episodes.
Exactly. But only some of it. Because some fillers are slice of life. Its always fun to just see the straw hats living their life.
these episodes are actually canon, Oda wanted to add these to the manga but his editors cut it out for the sake of time (as well as getting to the grand line before chapter 100 I think)
That's because most of them are stories that Oda himself wanted to put into the manga but couldn't, he just doesnt have enough time/space for it and had to change things here and there
As a fun fact, the drunk character in this filler playing judge also appears in the manga and appears in different parts such as at parties, he is similar to Pandaman and also has his own backstory. I think it was about him getting drunk at his daughter's wedding or something as they said, and he ended up wandering around the world.
Imo, the reason you two are getting genuine love from the community is that, You two are like our sisters but still unlike them, who actually never went to OnePiece after all the request by us bros..and they just kept rewatching Harry Potter for the 50th to 100th time..
Like come on Sis...
LOL! HP? You are so lucky! I love HP too! (the books not the movies). My sisters in other hand live between Twilight, Pride and Prejudice and Bridget Jones. LOL!
and I love their views about this series, I relate to their comment a lot, as they remind me of me when I first started watching One Piece years ago. I just love all The Strawhats.
@@euclides9156wow thats a reverse situation😅
They also remembered the NPC names. Because I don't 😂
well put 👍
0:02 Chuu - ちゅう- means Kiss in Japanese. I’m sure I’m not the first to mention it, but I kept forgetting to comment it during Arlong Park lol
And her name is Kiss so she is Chu?
Rather than meaning kiss, it's more of the sound effect of kiss but sometimes used to mean kiss like how sometimes dog is being called "wanko" (wan = woof, ko = kid).
@@skye387 I understand what you’re saying, but it’s also a far more advanced discussion on the Japanese language than I’m capable of explaining especially in that comment where I just wanted to point out Kiss was doing a Chuu (チュウ) impression and how those things lined up. Cause my understanding was always Oda named Chuu and drew him with the pursed lips for that purpose lol
But I do legitimately appreciate the correction I’ve only started trying to learn Japanese somewhat recently which is why I can appreciate the distinction for how the words work. I’m basically reading Hiragana and Katakana at like a first grade level if that and Kanji I have no idea how I’ll ever truly learn them…but it’s a fascinating language and I hope to one day not need subtitles to watch anime lol
"Kiss" is his name in the german dub.
5:48 Nami's line delivery here is so damn good😂
it's very easy to predict what is Sanji's weakness
I'll just say this: Some of the best/most important moments in OP-history are about to unfold in Loguetown right now, you're in for a treat!
I love that they are coming up to the first great mystery of One Piece.
Watching with these girls makes it more fun!
These episodes are techically canon, but never appeared in the manga.
Think of them as episodes Oda aproved of.
The truly filler episodes begin from episode 54 until 60.
I'd recommed skipping straight to 61 when you finish 53.
Or not, you do you! I think people are just antsy for you both to finally see the grand line and filler adds delay to that. Haha.
That Chu impression😘👌
I personally love filler episodes in One Piece but the shorts ones are my most fav ones like these :3
Wow, so both of these are technically filler episodes because most of it never happened in the manga, but they're actually really good! It's always awesome watching Sanji cook, and both his and Usopp's motivations are accurate. If you noticed in the live-action, that dish he makes in his introduction because he's sick of cooking medium-well prime rib is "true bluefin tuna", which is just more proof that the showrunner and writers are die-hard fans!
The next episodes are going to blow you away, setting up things that are still mysteries 1,000 episodes later haha
these are cannon, it was cut from the manga for the sake of reaching the grandline before chapter 100. The only example of anime-only cannon episodes.
I like seeing Usopp get his goggles and the part w Buggy funny. These episodes are great. Always awesome rxn's
I love this small stories on loguetown, where basically every strawhat has his time to shine ^^
That elephant bluefin tuna.. Is what Sanji was cooking the first time y'all met him in the Live Action :P
People complaint about fillers but they also forget about G8, which easily better than most stand alone shows. One Piece fillers are good, it's those recap episodes that suck.
Well not every One Piece filler is actually good. Some are good some are weird and some are meh.
I'm not a fan of G8, but also most One Piece filler is way worse than G8.
@@dripsoup6639 is G8 worse than the Bount arc from Bleach which lasts 60 something episodes or Naruto's last 120 episodes or Shippuden's Infinite Tsukuyomi arc or the second season of Tokyo Ghoul, second season of Promised Neverland, latest season of Spy x Family, Dragon Ball GT or even the whole Dragon Ball Super which was definitely a milking money tactic?
@@abhishek_rana5735 I said I'm not a fan of G8, not that it's better than the Bount arc. It's definitely among the better filler arcs I've seen, but it's also not the best filler arc I've seen. Off the top of my head, I would probably put the Zanpakuto Rebellion arc above it.
Either way, for the sake of argument, I'll say that G8 is a good filler arc since most people seem to love it, but I would not say that One Piece filler is overall good. But yes, needless recaps definitely suck.
@@dripsoup6639 I mean we would not get Luffy singing Sakura tan tan tan without filler, so. 💀
Girls, amazing reaction as ever! Just adding some extra info (without spoilers)... THese two episodes are fillers in fact. But all those parts from the last episodes evolving Zoro breaking Tashigi glasses, working in Marine, the Gold Roger tavern, and even that encounter between Smoker and Luffy at execution platform were filler passages too. If you read the manga Loguetown is reduced to Zoro buying his new swords part, and to what will happens from now on. But Toei did an outstanding work making this trip looks much more cozy and cool! I loved this air of "sacred" Genoa of the city.
most of Loguetown in the anime is actually canon, this is what Oda originally wanted to happen in loguetown and his editors made him cut it down probably so they could get to the grandline before chapter 100. When they made it to this part of the anime he had them include the full story.
@@thomaes751 Yes I understand your point and I agree with that even because all anime adictions are in fact authorized by Oda even if was not "created" by him. But to state "canon" it means manga source only. I'm just pointing up the Toei "fillers part" creation, like they did when Usopp runs after shot Arlong in Cocoyasi Village, or even in Alvida ship attack that don't exist in manga. Some "manga pristine lovers" always complain about Toei interference and keep nagging about "jump the fillers". So I'm making a counterpoint promoting the fillers.
I love the two of you and your pure reactions to one of my favorite anime of all time! I've always loved the emotion and humor put into this great series. You have no idea of all the laughs and tears you will have on this journey! I'm glad I get to see you both reacting to it the way I have! Enjoy!
14:42 The short, elderly man with a rope tied around his head and a hammer is actually a gag character named Minatomo. In an SPS a reader asked Oda why the door to the bar that the mountain bandit kicked off its hingers was repaired after he smashed the bottle of sake on Shanks and left the bar. Of course this was an oversight, but Oda invented the character Minatomo to explain it away saying that he is a carpenter who can't walk past a broken door without fixing it.
Since then Minatomo has appeared randomly throughout the series like Pandaman.
Sam, the drunk guy back from a wedding, best OP character👌
he may be a tribute to that guy from dragonball who was posessed by god. similar origins
i forgot how good these episodes are!!
Ignore the people that tell you to skill the Filler. One Piece has very short fillers.
Also the next Filler Arc, you need to see it.
There is a lot of Canon Content from the manga in the next Filler Arc.
Hell, the Barrel Scene appears in the next Filler Arc, plus also a glimpse of the Calm Belt and the Straw Hats entering Reverse Mountain. You can't skip the next filler Arc.
11:50 "Could it be... a relative?!" I just finished WCI... Oh man...
18:20 this guy actually a half-fishman and its not a hair, its a real fin!
25:06 "to be continued"
yeah yeah thats something we hear since more then two decades every week
This won't stop anytime soon :D
Daddy the Parent (Kozure no Daddy) is a reference to the manga Lone Wolf and Cub (Kozure Ōkami)
wind coming ...
Actually Sanji can fight with knives too, but he never does, cause his hands are just for cooking
Whoohooo!!!! Excited to see more with you two!
yay, thanks for this reaction video. i forgot that cooking contest, it's been so long since i watched the east blue arc
Nice! A brand new reaction from Hayla and Kigg! My favorite!
I’m dumb lol
Finally all caught up. You're about a month out from meeting my favourite character in the series. (Although you may already be there on Patreon, I guess). So I'm really looking forward to that. Love your enthusiasm and enjoyment
There is an official Sanji Cookbook if you really want to try his food.
I can't wait to see the cook-of in the live action! (I hope they include it) 🍽
Este capitulo lo recordaba de niño, por eso volví a ver one piece de grande 😊
Aw man, I love cooking shows too. And watching like primitive catch and cook videos on youtube lmao lmao, anyway, cooking is fun
Whatz up you two? Such fun you two are having.
The early OP is so nostalgic.
I can't wait for you two to get to the grand line! It's much crazier than the east blue
They actually sell Sanji's Cookbook if you ever want to try to make some food lol
Girls if you wanna eat Sanji's food you can buy the Sanji's recipe book
Smoker calling someone else "daddy" XD
Great reaction as always some great character centric episodes! Keep it up! Also 5:55 😂😂 so funny!
14:41 He's all the way this early in the anime? How did he get to loguetown lol
The tuna flex killed me... lol
You don't have to skip the filler episodes. They're enjoyable.
Next episode gonna be crazy
I love your reaction❤
These are such wholesome episodes with character development and I only fear the live action will do each one well but I have a feeling they'll squander or shortcut or cut out something entirely.
30 episodes to go. No spoilers. I only wonder how they will bring that character to life in the live-action season 2, who we meet, in 30 episodes.
the world building alone is why i watch op.. imagine watching this for the first time
My advice is, don’t let some filler guide define your journey in One Piece. You’ll only end up having watched a handful of boring episodes. Skip them and it’ll be like rushing through the Louvre just to look at the Mona Lisa and leave. The crew is taking their time and enjoying the seas at their own pace as well, so why should we rush to the end of the anime?
It may be filler, but it just means more time hanging out watching OP with them so I'm not complaining
never skip fillers...
watch the show like there's no filler
"his dads a shooter" lolol
8 episodes per week please. 4 someday and another 4 another. The episodes are very fast and you can watch them calmly. PLEASE
Or at least 6 per week, to make up for time. 3 someday and 3 another.
OMG I AM WAITING FOR THE NEXT TO SEE YOU GUYS REACTION
It's so sad that this could not be in the manga even though it was meant to be canon by Oda.
Shrimp make the best fried rice 😂
24:09 Oh you so do😂
wait till you see Zorro's sense of direction :)
The 🦐 fried rice like goes crazy 😭
Isn’t the only cannon stuff from these episodes that Usopp bought goggles and Sanji went shopping?
It is
i thought you guys skip this 2 eps but if you like it so nevermind.
Love it as always
Ive only read the manga after.. well abit further... i always assumed that chefs battle was canon
“Did a 🦐 fry this rice”😂
❤ Thank you
Just drop 1000+ please I need this in my life rn lol.
I was gonna wait and watch the rest of these when live action season 2 came out but who knows when that will be 🤷🏻♂️😅
It’s Daddy the FATHER!
Daddy the parent sounds so stupid lol
dont worry about fillers they are often decent and only last a few eps.
You should try doing 3 episodes in the future
I love your videos lol u guys are so cute :D
"we don't know anything about her" 🤭
am i tripping or at 14:45 is that minatomo from the wano arc talking to sanji
lmao yea you are, wano was a closed country still
@@yoobeepedmeinthebeep I just googled it that's legit him he's just not wearing japanese clothing he's got the nails in his mouth instead of his nostrils and he's got that headband
I was thinking the same 😅
The myth. The legend. The one and only CAPTAIN USOPP.
looks like they dont remember that ladys weapon.
filler at the start of the series is funky cuz they sprinkled in some episodes here n there just as a bit of padding then separated into it’s own self contained arcs. They’re not as bad as some fans say, but they can be hit or miss. But there are a handful of episodes later on that are 90% recap cuz they were made for TV to help get newer fans in and get context.
…..watching anime is complicated man.
after seeing that i would enjoy seeing you react to a cooking anime, the best one is a little bit too perverted (Shogeki no Souma or Food wars). Maybe i am not the only one thinking that. There still other great cooking anime too.
About the way sanji knowing All blue it's an add from The studio not from Oda, good and fun episodes.
3 videos please
Sapi the man with fish hair
Thanks
Can’t wait for them to see

Might be a year an a half but I'm here for it
this fillers are great, dont skip
Early gang wot wot
Daddy is a great translation XD not the best filler but still funny
Ussop doesn't miss
