Good for her. From nannying to the Olympics. Used to think of her as the other A. Wilson in US women's 800m. Now she's an Olympian.

Great for her, she has a great personality, and all the best in Paris.

The best part is, she hasn't changed a bit since growing up! She's always been a kind, genuine, friendly person, so deserving of the recognition!!

I wish she spoke in her natural voice. This is a learned way of speaking and it is awful. I don't think I will ever watch another interview with her. A fun movie that touches on this is call "In a World"

Have you watched any of her other interviews? This is her normal voice and how she always sounds. Weird comment to make

@@nathansmith3726 A nice intro to what makes my comment not weird is watching the film I recommend. Even in her interview there is a moment where her voice shifts and you can kinda hear her natural voice.

Also if she works with kids like I do, we have to talk in a whimsical, joyful, happy voice often to help children stay regulated and positive 🙏🏽❤️

She's shocked ,no one expected athing to fall but now other olympic athletes have a chance to shine

Wilson ran a decent race. She stayed on the inside and up front for the merge.

I love Allie. I watched her on TV finish second in the 800 M at the Indoor Championships here in Albuquerque and I was ecstatic she made the Olympic team. Unfortunately she didn't make it past qualifying, but maybe in 4 years she'll be in LA. Becoming an Olympian is still an amazing feat though, congrats to Allie!

No medal for USA in this 800 event honestly 😊

@@edwmacShe channeled the fire from her third place finish at Worlds last year into her Diamond League final win over Hodgkinson and Moraa in September. Maybe she'll do the same with this. She might need to race in groups more frequently to stay sharp though.

    • @Auroralights321

@@edwmac I agree that she wasn't ready. The lack of racing or practice will do that to you. I don't know what's been going on with her, but I swear there's been a decline in her progress after she moved to Los Angeles and switched to Bobby Kersee as a coach. She's gone from having three big wins (Olympics 2 golds/Eugene gold/, to getting 3rd in Budapest and now to failing to qualify for the Olympics because of a nasty fall. If we barely ever saw her before this, we probably won't be seeing her come back for 2028.

Nia Akins can, she made the final last year at the World Champs - Mu, Rodgers finished ahead of her last year but won't be there this year
