Not sure if you guys gives a damn but if you're stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all of the new movies on instaflixxer. Been streaming with my girlfriend for the last few weeks =)
The holes are there to provide the guitarist with a better way to monitor the sound that they are producing. They can also adjust the entire sound of the guitar. This guitar is an exception in that it has two soundholes on the upper and lower bouts. Typically, it will have just one, however luthiers are experimenting more and more with guitar design. The guitar is constantly evolving which is great.
They could be 'Players Nails' (fake) or the equivalent. And it's hard to tell the difference in sound since they have the same properties of natural nails but can sound sometimes better than one's natural nails. They're very handy and good to have around when you break your own.
@Dalmenco every individual has different hands, hence, different finger nail lengths. some have a really good tone with short nails, some have good tone with longer nails. If there was a formula for a perfect tone, guitar would be boring.
Yes his nails are way too long. You can hear the noise sometimes when his nails touch the strings before the flesh does. But beside that, he's a great guitarist with perfect tremelo!
He is playing a guitar made by the famous American luthier Kenny Hill. The holes are sound ports that help provide better sound projection and also enable the player to better hear what he is playing. I am fairly sure that he is using artificial nails.
I will be smashed for this, but I like Filomena Moretti's version better. Besides her version being more romantic, it is also more beautiful. Rossfelder is a great guitarist nonetheless. I think that this peice isn't what he does best at, just as Henryk Szering was a great violinist, but didn't do so well with Tchaikovsky's violin concerto. I really like how Rossfelder plays 'Carnival of Venice' by Tarrega, though, especially were he does the snare drums on the strings!
Odette.
Magnifique sérénade très bien jouée.
Un grand BRAVO, Emmanuel !
Un grand salut depuis la Bretagne !

he has such a beautiful tone, insanely envious of the cleanliness of the tremolo, an awesome song played by an awesome player.

Not only the play are superb , you got the best camera system that we can see the speed of your left hand on the string ! Excellent !!!!

felicidades!!
@jose044 it increases the sound's projection =) I think that guitar is from Gil Carnal, i've tried one of those, they're wonderful!
Excelent. The best of all guitarrista.
Sublime
Yes :(
@Dalmenco Who cares how long his nails are? His tone is superb, and that's what counts.
complimenti !

Bravo!! Vous êtes le maximum
Fenomenale !!!
3.38-4.02
sounds very nice.
who built the guitar?
Magnifique ! Très bien jouée ! Salut de l' Italie Antonella
@Michajeru I don't think it is actually for a french manucure... I think that he needs his nails to play.
Magnificent !!

Made a mistake! that guitar isn't from Gil Carnal, it was made by Kenny Hill. Sorry!
Very good!!!
the nail on his thumb seems to have an odd shape?
Jean Luc Joie of Bordeaux...maybe
best of world , meeeeega best

Absolutely. No one equals him.
~Brilliant!

I Think this guitar would have a better sound with out the sound holes
Big guy; big fingernails on the right hand.......
He is an excellent guitarist. His nails are abnormally long, but then again, who am I to criticize?
Henryk 'S.Z.E.R.Y.N.G', sorry.
