  • This is the "input - output" talk from a 2D sediment workshop we did in December 2021.
The workshop was funded by the USACE Flood and Coastal R&D program and these videos were funded by the HH&C SET program (The Science and Engineering Technology program of the Hydrology, Hydraulic and Coastal Community of Practice in the USACE).
I am putting the whole class up here as I edit it:

    Quality! Thank you!
Feedback: Although it becomes super clear after a while, an average user might still be confused when at 16:07 map layers are discussed in the Mapper in my opinion. I think just simply changing the verb will greatly improve foolproofness. For example changing to "Import a New RAS Layer" subconsciously suggests the calling for an existing shapefile in my head, and "Create an Empty RAS Layer" induces the making of a one. :)

Hello, Thanks for the video. I'd like to know the HEC-RAS limitations. When we simulate sediment transport, usually we have rivers with steep slopes ( greather than 4%). Which is the max bed slope of the channel that HEC-RAS could handle? could you help me with this question please?

please, add some videos' about dam breach modeling and downstream flood inundation mapping for ungagged rivers using HECRAS 6.1

Please, show us how can we insert surveying data into ECRAS or HECGEORAS and dam breach modeling using this software
