St. Kateri Tekakwitha Icon Presentation

Hosted by the Murphy Institute to celebrate the recent arrival of an icon of St. Kateri Tekakwitha commissioned to be gifted to the School of Law. This program features iconographer Nicholas Markell, Fr. Christopher Collins, Vice President for Mission, and Kelly Drummer, President of MIGZI, who will speak on the symbolism of iconography, life of St. Kateri, and share reflections on the mission of the Church and the local Native community today.
St. Kateri Tekakwitha is the patron saint of Native American peoples, ecology and the environment. She was canonized in 2012 by Pope Benedict XVI.
