I don’t see that as an issue. Neither does my daughter who has been crawling to the end of the bed to get out every morning since we installed it. I don’t need the swing down feature.
@@BillOfAllTrades2016 it says swing down. Some people may want to see how it swings down. Good to know it won’t swing down on certain bed types. Also did you cut that open notch in the floor of the bed base for the anchor piece of the rail or was that already there?
Great video with easy to follow instructions. You resolved couple of my doubts which even the manufacturer’s video fails to address.

What do you mean what happened to the video?
Yours won’t swing down though. Child will have to crawl to the end to get out.

I cut the notches but didn’t mention in the video as it is irrelevant to the installation as the MDF sheet was not originally part of the bed.
To confirm, this unit is not capable of swinging down?
