i could watch a whole hour of him doing this
Do it, put it on repeat.
This kid is the Rodney Mullen for his generation. That's some impressive flatland!
First thing I thought too. No doubt Rodney would LOVE to watch this guy sk8.
He's great for sure, but don't forget Andy Anderson out there doing it all and making it look easy.
Literally the only person who can take the torch from Rodney
@@amneux I love Andy but he isnt on this level. His all around skating is something to admire but he's not the top of anything.
You never compare someone to Rodney Mullen
This kid is insane!!!! That rail flip 180 to primo was bonkers!!
Did you see the 🦋butterfly ?! 😱
🥶Unreal. 🤐
I have never seen such technical skating since Rodney Mullen and Daewong Song! Both of you are fkn rad! Makes me want to skate again. So dope!
Haha, Isamu is a God, but I love your reactions, Jason
Rodney is kami level, Isamu is getting there
What that's is incredible awesome
Man, I had a permanent smile the whole video just because how excited you were during the whole thing genuinely. Really look like you had a good time. Pure madness how that young man shreds.
I’ve been watching this kid since he was LITTLE LITTLE! Crazy how he stills got the handstands ON LOCK. Isuma should be world famous. 👌🏼
It's amazing watching skating evolve, ever still. When Rodney vs Daewon Round 1 came out, Rodney blew everyone away. He was hands down the best technical skater. Just around 20 years later, and this kid has unarguably exceeded Mullen's ability at least in flatground tricks, perhaps not in all around skill, for now I wonder now if THIS kid is paving the way for another phenom in another 20 years.
Mullen did all of this so it's fun to see passed down
This is a good conversation to have. ❤
Rodney Mullen must be so proud. It also kind of looks like he learned a lot of tricks directly from the Tony Hawk games. And most importantly HE'S HAVING FUN! He's not being arrogant or trying to be cool. He's just chill and having fun, which inspires those around him to do the same. I love it.
Isamu is fantastic,. my mind is officially blown.,. You guys are AMAZING 🦅🫰👉👈
This kid is inhuman levels of cool.
i can't even stand on a skateboard without falling off I can't even put words to what he does WOW
7:18 "how did he go that way" LOL
Amazing vid, love u both ! Thanks for inspiring us !
This guy is amazing and you can tell he practices like Rodney mullen used to smh. What a talent and the guy fanboying out is an amazing talent as well(yes you Mr. Potato 🥔 😂👏)this was awesome and I am so glad you got to hang out and also show this to us Jason 😎👌
This guy is awesome but there is only 1 Rodney Mullen and he was doing this when he was 10yo.
@Nenad Popov this is true 😎👌 when I saw the way he was skating and how precise his tricks were and how he wasn't content with an OK land and had to do it right I immediately thought about Rodney mullen. This guy is only 19 so I bet he has been skating since he was 10 or even before? Japanese people train their kids to go to the store and pay for stuff and bring it back at 2 years old 🤷♂️
@Nenad Popov so thos kid started skating when he was 8 and guess who inspired him to start skating after his father(also a skateboarder) showed him a video? Rodney mullen 😊👌 I knew it, the style shows. I just looked it up. I was impressed that someone wants to work on that level, he was also trained by Brett Novak so this guy has the potential to be a legend. I grew up with Tony hawk and Rodney mullen and I don't think most of today's skaters are on that level? This guy reminded me of that level of greatness.
@@joshuaschmidinger3993 I respect everything that this guy can do but I always have much more respect for the person who did it first, in this case Rodney Mullen.
@Nenad Popov agreed, Rodney mullen is the man...just ain't one like him skating now and this kid reminds me most of him. I grew up with Rodney mullen, tony hawk, in that era and to me they will always be legends 😎👌
Still so underrated!! Awesome video guys 🔥
Looking forward to all the Japan videos
Never seen anyone do a primo slide on a mini ramp before
I have cramps in my jaw after dropping it for 10 minutes straight 😱
My two favorite skaters in the same video! Let's go!
could not stop smiling while watching - wow
His crativity is crazy. I watch a lot of freestyle but his style and consistency. And gis flow is insane. Truly amazing. I feel just like the camera man continuously completly stunned.
Kudos to Japan for constantly producing top talent all over the place. Had a once in a generation male gymnast, absolutely dominant female olympic wrestler, Shohei Ohtani whose no doubt in anyone's mind the greatest thing to happen to baseball since Babe Ruth (Arguably better than the Babe), and obviously this kid.
Japan do invest and support a lot in youth sports/recreational activities. Culture naturally follows it and it feels good to see it.
Don't forget Naoya Inoue. The world pfp #1 best boxer on the planet.
the control he had is incredibly fxking awesome, the entire of video is just me jaw dropping, he's so awesome man damn
dude i love the THPS sound effects you put in! and the little finger to finger zaps
I'm picking my jaw off the ground. 😲 That was hard to believe. I want to know how he practices.
Often.
This guy skates as if the board is a legit part of is body , he skates better than most people walk , and makes it look SO EASY when some of this is so impressive I don't have words
bro what! That skill is insane, huge respect and huge props to Isamu!
Amazing yo.. what a mad kid.. the Japanese street skaters and freestylers are killing it
This is blowing my mind. I thought the trick was over and then he does something even more crazy!
Wow this is just mind-blowing, and at each trick, I found myself involuntarily uttering, "NO WAY, THAT'S INSANE!". Unbelievable talent - this is high art, in my opinion, BRAVO ISAMU! 👏. And he's so humble and nice too. No arrogance. I've subscribed to his Insta and UA-cam. Thanks for sharing this masterpiece 😊. Btw I also subbed to your channel, Jason, after seeing your cool tricks (you're quite good and impressive too. Those were creative tricks you did! You weren't just an interviewer). You also seem like a really nice dude with a good sense of humour. Cheers ✌️
Thank you for the kind words! So glad you enjoyed this video, and yes I agree Isamu is a once in a lifetime talent 😊
he is the one of the best young skater nowadays......in his age he is still a long way to go...the next rodney mullen..
There is no next Rodney mullen lmao. This kid is just doing/copying what mullen invented. It's like an artist repainting the Mona Lisa.
@@Snowstorm1200 Foh he literally has his own style, I've been watching Rodney since the 90s and this kid pulls off shit I've never seen Rodney do
@@Snowstorm1200 it's one thing to say there'll never be another mullen but your take is whack.
this dude's balance is a superpower
That 720 gazelle combo was bonkers! No setup time in between. That takes incredible consistency
I've seen Isamu in the past, and I am familiar with his insane tricks but he still made my jaw drop!! Who the hell would do a primoslide on a mini?? Absolute joy to watch, thank you for the share 'Ma'name Jason'
i had to sub just for him filming and posting this absolute all time banger!
So incredible and so consistent and so humble amazing
so used to Jason being the one doing all the crazy stuff that people stare at in awe. was cool to see him staring jaw dropped at someone else doing the crazy stuff. i'm sure Isamu got some ideas from Jason as well!
Insane skills, so much talent and dedication, found him a few years ago searching for free-skating tutorials, but nope - nevermind...not a chance in hell to do his tricks - just mad! Best freestyle AND free-skater skates - legend in the making - thanks for the vid, was he on Jonny's Channel already? Lets go! Jonny & Andy A vs Jason & Isamu when?
This actually is mind-blowing 🔥🔥🔥
My brain just kept melting, this was crazy to watch!! Insane!!! So so good
His hand and eye coordination is insane, cheat code pro skater 2 vibes.
Like watching a video game, makes it look effortless, thousands of hours to get to that level, so sick
That pop-shuvit late flip thing at about 1:28 was amazing & a thing of beauty 😮 ironically it’s probably one of his easier tricks. Also, he seems like a really nice, friendly & humble person. Top quality all round 👍
Best vibes, best tricks, best creativity
So incredible. Gifted lad!
Most mind blowing thing: it was harder to translate the names of the tricks from Japanese to English than for him to perform the trick
Getting to live the dream!! Go Jason go!!!!
Wow, that was really impressive!
Rodney Mullen will forever be the King of Street Skateboarding, not saying this kid doesn't have the skills cos he definitely does and he is the Rodney Mullen of this generation, but Rodney was doing these tricks over 30 years ago, so the creativity and innovation go's to him.
Exactly, always will be kings in each generation. You know it when so many of us get the same vibe from Isamu that we get from watching Rodney.
This was dope ash
To which crazy place have you traveled to, jason? Your videos have often amazed me and this one seems like from another planet :O not one or two mindblowing tricks but the whole video stacked with insane and unimaginable tricks by isamu, truly amazing!
freeskate and the skateboard combo! impressive
I love Isamu, he's really incredibly good ! on a skate and on free skates too :)
Loved him. And you represented Jas.
He just might be the best...i want to see him skate other stuff! Hes definitely rad at everything
THIS IS THE MOST ENTERTAINING THING IVE SEEN IN SO LONG didnt realize caps was on and not retyping that
amazing!
Oh that’s at Komazawa skatepark, I used to skate there for years when living in Tokyo! Miss that place so much…❤
That dude is on another level
This dude is the next big thing. Calling it now. I’m amazed.
Kinda hard to skate next to this kid haha, but you also had some really nice tricks. The under flip and dark stall were sick on the mini ramp.
isamu is a beast i love seeing his clips
Some of his new stuff is so creative.
Terrific, man.
Jason cannot help but make the pleasure noises when he sees the good skate
what a pleasure to watch
Wtf! Seriously my jaw dropped watching this, Isamu Yamamoto is amazing.
Unreal! So sick!
Whaaaaaaaaaa 👀 never seen anyone this smooth
He’s ice skating!! How can he be that graceful
Literally never seen anything like this
Amazing!
Isamu is a prodigy. The practice and dedication are the keys.
Definitely gonna try some of those myself.
whether it is freestyle bmx or freestyle skateboarding itll always blow my mind 🤯🤯
Just crazy everything you can do with a board that was awesome
That’s really cool maybe one day I will learn this ✌🏼
My mind _melted_ *SO GOOD*
I would totally freak out if I was there. You guys are the best!❤
I was freaking out constantly watching him skate haha
Is he a believer? I saw the back of his hat, that’s rad. 🤙🏾
He is so smooth!
Sick man
That was awesome
Fantastic
AMAZING!!
wow Im soo amazed everytime he doing almost impossible tricks Im suddenly holding my breath.
bahaha that thps special move sound effect got me so good
Handstand pivoting is something we just cant even picture how hard it is
What a beast!
So cool to see a lot of people getting into skateboarding even more now. Think the Olympics has alot to do with that especially with the kids of today
10 minutes of high quality content
I love seeing new tricks
So crazy!
In 2017 i saw "ISAMU: a Short Skate Film" from Brett Novak here on youtube ,and watching this kid skate completely rekindled my passion for skating.
I am glad that he is dong well and that he is still doing what he loves.
That was so good
i love this
Amazing
i remember finding out about this kid when he was like 7 or 8 I knew he would be even more amazing once he developed strength later in life. glad i was right, i vaguely remember crying watching a video of him meeting rodney mullen
My favorite skateboarder and inspiration is Rodney Mullen since 2002.
Kids now a days are getting better and better. Keep it up man.
That kid is legit. Get him and Andy Anderson together......Jason I found you from watching you just goof around at the Braile warehouse and so glad I did. Your approach to skateboarding is just rad. You truly bring out the art of skateboarding free, creative and doing tricks you love and think are cool. I don't think anyone can have as much fun as you on a skateboard. ❤
They made a video together 5 years ago. It's on UA-cam
this might be my favorite video on youtube. i loved watching Rodney Mullen as a kid, and now i get to see some youngblood do freestyle.
Epic!
I don't watch skateboarding, but this was in my recommended. I think its pretty awesome.
Mind blowing 🤯
