Wide leg pants and a top out of that beautiful print from hobby lobby. Thankyou for sharing your health issues. It inspires me how you have a positive attitude and still manage to get so much sewing done. And your faith in God is contagious and fills me with hope. I just love that you are so down to earth and real. Thankyou.

Thank you for sharing your story. I have just gone thru a health crisis as well. In November went to emergency because we thought I was having a stroke and instead they found a meningioma ( tumor) near the base of my skull. Per the neurosurgeon it was the same had to have removed or I’d keep declining. My surgery was 2/15/23 and my scar looks very much like yours but sits a bit higher up. My left mouth n throat are numb and we won’t know for 3 to 12 months if it will improve. 18 years prior I kept falling when playing tennis and losing my balance. They thought it was MS and other things and didn’t have answers till now , also in November found breast cancer. That surgery was 1/17/23 and am currently going thru radiation treatments. I’m 63 , love sewing and seeing what others make. UA-cam is a blessing. As I’m recovering I can still not feel as isolated by seeing others and what they make. I’m currently doing 2 sewing classes online . Hope I didn’t overshare . You look amazing

Thanks for sharing your story. I currently go to Zumba - my happy place. Sewing has been stressing me out lately - too many things I need and want to do. I need to remember it should also be a happy place. Dealing with the probate for a relative that died in February 2021. I am so ready for it to be closed so I can get my life back, but I have a ways to go.

Thanks Karen! I used to be a communications manager, and remember going to a training/workshop and the presenter said "you get five exclamation points per year" and the room full of communication nerds all laughed. Expressing ourselves via short messages now requires multiple exclamation points!!! 😂

Sharon, thank you so much for sharing your miracle. Isn't He amazing?
Last July I started having some kind of groin pain. I deal with chronic back issues but this was.. different. Well Dr referral to next Dr. Test and test.
By September 7th I was having my left hip rereplacement, December 7th my right hip was replaced. I was in surgery in 60 days. It happened so fast. ...My surgeon told me the ball joints were crushed in 1/2??? Wow.
I am so amazed at how the Lord healed me/us. Just think, not many years ago if this happened to us we would have been in a wheelchair for the rest of our lives!! I am completely healed and very grateful for every step I take. I know you are too!!
I honestly believe that our Lord gives the Doctors the knowledge and wisdom to heal us. It all comes from Him.!!!
I know that was a long message but your praise report really touched my heart too. I am a thankful woman❤❤❤

Wow Vicki! You understand what I went through for sure. We know our own bodies best, and I had one doctor tell me it was because I was getting older 😬 I didn't listen to him, just kept getting other opinions and tests. I'm so sorry you had to go through what you went through, that must have been very painful! I agree, I thank the Lord for our medical community and how he uses them to diagnose and heal us. Thank you for sharing your journey with me and yes, even if the outcome hadn't been what I desired, I was at peace. Thankful you are healed ❤❤

You never know who looks so good and healthy on youtube that actually have health issues. That was quite the journey you took. Glad you are better. I had issues as well, two surgeries and a complete recovery, but now a different quality of life. I don't dwell on it because there are those who are so much worse off who would give anything to trade what I have for what they are going through. Thanks for sharing. p.s. Another Minnesota blizzard. Wish I was in Texas! Lucky you!

You could always put a lace or tulle panel in the cut out areas. Sewing is a kind of hobby/therapy. I retired from a long career in education. I bought my first sewing machine just before I retired and a combination sewing/embroidery machine a year later. I got Shingles about 2 years age & it’s taken most of that time to recover! I still have minor issues from it, but I’m much better for which I’m truly thankful. Best wishes for your continued recovery.

Hi Sharon, Thank you for sharing about your life. I had a cyst on my spine lower than you. That surgery was a doozie. I have no idea how you were able to move to another part of the country 3 weeks after the surgery and get settled, you are made of strong stuff. Knitting was my therapy until I could stand enough to sew. A creative outlet is life affirming. Thank you so much for putting the time in your channel.

Hi! I haven't met anyone else who experienced what I did - you certainly understand. That surgery was indeed a doozie! Honestly, I don't know how we moved across country so soon either 😃 Fortunately it was a job transfer so we had a moving company and they were the kindest people ever! They knew my situation and packed around me, until the very end providing me one of their portable chairs so I could continue to rest. My poor husband, driving me and two dogs in a two-day trip to Texas and I was no help at all. I agree, having a creative outlet is essential ❤

Praise God that you’ve made so much progress in your health!!! Please don’t assume that your nerves won’t continue to heal. I lost complete feeling in my backside after my first spinal surgery (6 vertebrae lumbar fusion). The pain was intense when feeling started to return, but after about a dozen years I've regained complete feeling with no pain in that area! I’m sure your doctor has told you that B vitamins can be very helpful in healing nerves. You are super brave to show your scars!!! I don’t think I’d have the courage to show mine. Congratulations on your dog passing her Canine Good Citizen test. I know training her was a lot of work, but you’ll be enjoying the rewards of that investment for many years to come. She is so adorable!!!

I love the sheer floral fabric, looked at something similar at Joann's. I'm still in sewing with floral fabric mode. For the other fabric, maxi dress gets my vote.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your story of faith and healing!!! I have a similar story also. Health starting to deteriorate in 2019, hospitalized with heart failure and a-fib in Jan. 2020, had to have heart surgery twice in 2020. Then, diagnosed with cancer in 2021, and had to have surgery for that also. Today, I'm still here and feeling so much better by the Grace of God! He obviously is keeping me here for a reason. God has reasons for what He does in our lives, but it's always for good even if we don't understand what's going on or why. Just have to trust Him and be obedient. 🙏🏼✝️
