I saw Jeef level to 4 when he had enough economy to get the tier 4 spell that gives you two ballers and spammed that. Don’t know if you’d want to do that as well cuz you can save the baller spell and get it every turn plus you can roll bran+refresh elemental
I *think* jeef was wrong there (amazing player that he is). He did always get 2 ballers a turn that way, but had to spend more time leveling, had a much harder time finding more ballers than the guaranteed two and had less gold.

At the same time, it seems to me that shady's highrolled more, so he had more gold not due to being on 2, but rather on how early he got the gold engine going. Being on 2 allows you to get more gold spells, but leveling to 4 helps your board get much better. No wonder jeef even pivoted out of ballers in the final turns. Also, one thing to account for is that you don't need to find many of the baller spell. You only need 1, and the rest become more hits for you. You can also put the tier 4 elemental that you can sell later to transfer the buffs, and end the game with chameleon if you wish
I went back a bit to double check. In turn 13, shady sells 1 baller. In turn 14, he sells 6, being 2 generated by bedrock. You're lowering your bedrock chances by a lot when leveling. If you're on 4, you get 4 ballers for free just from your hero power. A bedrock that generates 2 should generate 1 at 4. And you need to spend 10 gold leveling. If you level to 4 and never find the spell, you're heavily punished. But it seems to me that the spell is a more reliable way to get ballers, even when accounting for the leveling gold
I stumbled onto the tier 4 strat with the baller spell by chance, it went really well most of the turns money wise and some turns I cast like 3 spells to get ballers while also getting some in the shop. Can't remember my board at the end but it crushed the lobby easy. Low MMR mind you (like 5k)
13:12 I agree, stealing from opponents is how I was able to get a cleave for this build, which the guy i believe you had just fought here also had. Woulda have been so worth it if you took that shot and hit.
Been using this since your stream the other night. So fun lol. Really like when beasts are in and you get a Macaw with trickster or selfless. Also the cleave ele tier 3

I don't think they should nerf this comp. It's a very high rolly comp and very risky to do. I'd rather have this in the game and see it pupled off every once in a while.
this is not high roll or risky really, the only thing stopping you from pulling it off is if there are multiple other players also going for the same strat
I feel like it's only highroll in the sense that he got key pieces turn 3, but this comp is one that you *will* hit since you're staying on tier 2. He could have hit everything turns later and still had a decent rank in the lobby

I think the tier 2 lock strategy has been funny but god blizzard needs to patch it out.
