Classic Italian colors! The prettiest camouflage schemes ever as far as I'm concerned.

Very interesting tire work, Stuka here I come. Panel line wash brought it to life.

Absolutely beautiful! I have wondered how I would paint the spats and wheels/tires on two Stukas, and a Val. After watching this video, I had one of those forehead slap moments, thank you very much! This has also made me realize that I do not have one, single Italian aircraft in my stash. After seeing your paint job, I must rectify this major issue! Mc.205, I must have one! Eagerly awaiting the next installment!

Looks amazing, Steve. Well done! ICM appear to have nailed the 1/32 biplane sector.

    Nice job on the weathering.
And, you are far kinder than I am about peoples' preferences as to weathering. As, too many seem to feel that a/c ought be weathered like they have spent 50-75 years in a bog outside Stalingrad.
I have noticed a trend that seems to make it very clear that there are not many people who have been on actual flightlines, have seen actual working vehicles, let alone actually to have visited a shore line or gone to sea. Sigh.

Came across your channel a few weeks ago and am an avid fan of your builds. I've a lot to catch up but admire the skill, attention to details and your commentary.....lots of tips. I have this kit in my stash so have been following this series with great interest...you have inspired me to give it a go.

I just finished up the 1/32 Gloster Gladiator by ICM. It builds into a real nice display model!

The camo came out quite well 👍but i would love to see you try some weathering with oils rather than going straight to pin wash which can be somewhat formulaic and doesn't really offer the variety that oil weathering does. Obviously if this is coming in future episodes then I apologise - I'm watching quite a few weeks behind and trying to catch up! Thanks again for another great video.

Thank you and noted about the oil wash - fair point very well made. I have the oil sets but not the courage to potentially wreck a nice paint job. I intend to practice on something a bit less valuable over the coming weeks and months. Thanks for the feedback very much appreciated. 👍

You can really see with this aircraft what Walter Benjamin and co were talking about with fascism as an aestheticisation of politics. The Nazis might have been better at aesthetics and propaganda generally, but the effort the Italians put into the camo scheme and particularly the shadow outlining on the code numbers is more telling - the camo is incredibly time consuming and not particularly functional, and the numbers are downright counterindicated, but the scheme communicates a strength and pride that is pretty dissonant with its effective obsolescence from the moment it rolled off the assembly line. This is Mussolini portraying Italy as a world power in hopes that it might be a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Interesting observations thank you. It certainly has some Italian style about it.
