I don't believe the visibility thing, I like it because its stiff and doesnt tangle, when fish are on the bite they chow the bait, when they not biting you can use the most fancy trace and you wont catch. There's a million factors in play; time of day, atmospheric pressure; water temperature; water colour; rough or calm; location; luck; bait; the list goes on. 22:45 measure to full lenght 30cm legal.
Yes however I have a habit of only taking fork length. A Bronze of 30cm in total is just too small. Same with Shad I hardly measure them full length
