It should be a basic right for them to delete your data no matter where you live.

I think no matter what one chooses, the company does what it wants.

I tend to agree, but hopefully lawyers like Donata can catch them and make 'em pay up and change. We got a payout check from TikTok here a few days ago, I think another one from Steam not too long ago, a few months maybe. The companies do get caught sometimes.

The cookie question should be built into the HTML spec with JS APIs and handled by a browser setting rather than requiring people to manually accept / reject each and every time on every single site. It is so tiresome needing to reject every time, each with multiple clicks. I have not counted but it must be around a hundred times a time. The effort seems wasted for many sites which ignore the decision anyway. So I do a combination of 1) set my browser to clear cookies on exit and 2) frequent use of incognito mode.
And for sites that require an email address I only give out unique and randomly generated aliases.

Make more shorts showing the highlights of these longer videos. It will entice your followers to watch the longer content and also extend your reach to new followers.

I think the vast majority of us understand those risks, what we're looking for is what is the option. I hope that is answered as we move forward. Yes I know "decline" is the obvious one, but what's the hack to use a sight without agreeing to nonsense.

I’d like a third party that lets me know if the terms of this service or site are different from standard legalease. Might be an actual good use case for AI. Feed a model all of the decent TOS, the eh ones and the awful ones and see which this new one is most similar to.

7:35 Last week I decided not to complete making an account for a service I REALLY wanted but their terms were just too overreaching so I backed off. But it was incredibly hard. I can see people just saying YOLO and clicking "YES" to move ahead with the process, damn the torpedoes.

Could a third party service be created to negotiate the terms on behalf of the individual? Then to do business the company would have to agree to our terms. The more consumers that did this would eventually make it so these companies have to just do away with bad practices.

yeah so everyone should thow away every phone and delete all social media, this is total paranoia. since we all understand it doesnt matter what it is the company will lie cheat and steal no matter what. knowing that the average user would never sue.
