- Hey guys!
We traveled to Badami, Karnataka for Independence day long weekend. We also visited Pattadakal and Aihole which are temple complexes near Badami. Aihole is the oldest temple complex, where Chalukyas perfected the art of rock-cut temples and later built beautiful temples in Badami and Pattadkal. It is rightly said that Aihole is a school of Indian temple architecture, Badami is a college and Pattadkal is a university, together they are the cradle of Indian temple architecture. A beautiful blend of northern and southern temple styles, Pattadkal is a UNESCO World Heritage site. We traveled to these places using public transport- Karnataka state buses and sharing auto-rickshaw. For Badami cave temples and other places check our previous vlog!

Auto rickshaw was easily available as we found in Badami. For taxi we are not sure, we would suggest you to call your hotel in Badami. They will arrange surely!

Yes ! You can hire an auto from badami to visit all these places. Also you will get auto at pattadakal/ aihole
