John Wick: Killed assassins by the dozen, sometimes with pencils & a book. John Dick: Kills monsters by the thousands, while carrying a comically large arsenal.
This guy is really cool. I'm going to play through the entire Serious Sam series because of him. Incredibly cool and down to earth guy. Nothing special, but nobody needs to be! Keep on kicking ass John Dick!
Damn it's great to hear from this guy. Serious Sam has been my fav game for like 10-15 years already... Still playing The First Encounter. I wish to be a voice actor once tho, as I have a pretty ridiculous voice, and everyone keeps saying it, so why not xD Cheers for this tho, you just got a new sub mate.
Thanks for the interview, Jake! Been a big and hardcore fan of Serious Sam games, always loved and admired the voice of Booger. John is such a funny and classy down to earth guy, ha-ha!
I've always loved how the Seriosu sam, Duke, shadow warrior, and Doom games all reference and make fun of each other. Tons of newer and older shooters still do as well.
John's voice sounds fine as it is. He could've gotten away with voicing Sam without pitch shifting his voice. I was always suspicious Sam's voice was artificially deepened.
Recorded it, pitched it down by 15 percent... and suddenly Serious Sam is coming out of my speakers. Soo awesome. Never would have thought that the actual voice would sound so different than ingame.
I've tried contacting Petroglyph Games devs (being ex-Westwood devs)for people in the past, but they were awfully busy. Bagged Frank Klepacki twice, not sure how he'd feel about a third time, but I'd love to get him onboard for an expanded interview. Wanna cover more about the game's legacy, OST, etc.
Nah, I asked when they were making the other 8-Bit Armies games, so I assume it was those (and general patches et al) that were filling up their time. 8BA was very disappointing in my eyes. In any case, no hints on another secret project, though.

John is a perfect example of a celebrity being only human.
I mean, he's not really a celebrity. He's only done Serious Sam and a few other projects.
@@MarkoUntitledHe's only mostly a celebrity in the Serious Sam community.

Great stuff guy keep it up, always nice to hear the backstory of some of the people who contributed to some of my favorite games.
Another great interview! And Well done for getting 1000 subs, you deserve it. :) also 4:11

This is what you wanna hear 4:10
i love you john you are a legend
Honestly, John sounds almost identical to Richard Epcar. Like, almost a perfect sound-alike.
wow, I never thought about that. good catch!
I'd like to hear a collaboration between JSJ and JJD. :)
In character or reverse!! on soundcloud or whatever! Whoo! Make it happen guys!
Stay tuned for that, gonna see if I can craft an opening promo for the show with some new lines from J.D. ;)
I love this 😩❤️❤️
John's voice was inspiration for my OC's voice
let me hear
@@friedoysterskins It's more like how I imagine him to sound, like a proof of concept. Or do you want to hear a little about him?
@@Gaz918 I'll hear about him sure

Good interview man. Could you interview some more people from westwood studios staff or actors maybe?

Don't want to seem rude, but you wrote that, "they are awfully busy", so maybe that means that they are working on secret project ?

This game is what I always refer to when people talk about difficulty. I found it bastard hard. This and Furi.
The interviewer sounds like the Postal dude!
"Damjan". Thank you! I've been wondering for a long time how that was pronounced!
It's pronounced somewhat like dahm-yan, he butchered it completely.
@@strahinjastevic7480 I neeeeed to know. I've got a Croatian character in a comic I've been developing whom I named after Damjan Mravunac!
I can imagine Serious Sam defeating Mental and retiring, to work as a photographer.
Hey could you chase down the map designer for full spectrum warrior .. i have some questions ..
LAWL
does he have gaming channel or soemthing?
