So proud of this beauty, and her crew. What a sound! Blades bashing through the air. Whenever I have see her over the Hammer, I always think of what a sight hundreds of these machines blackening the sky must have been. Words fail me. Glad you all are enjoying her over there, God's speed to return home safely.
I heard her go over Scawby in the overcast. I had just opened the mail and in one of the packets was my old Dads long awaited Bomber Command clasp. It seemed a tad spooky to have his medals on the table, his new clasp in my hand and to hear Vera's four Merlins easing by overhead. Can't wait for the flight of the pair and the flypast over East Kirkby.
Nice video grantham. Hope you see them both flying while in the UK ( wish I was there too! ). Be great if they flew the Vulcan with them both too!!! Hope to see her return land in October.
And to think that once upon a time they trained men in their late teens and early twenties to fly those things into harm's way. Now it's a near impossible task to get a guy that age to leave home....

Congrats on the clasp ---Bomber Command ignored for too many years .
Love it, it sounds like a tribute to your Dad. :) I'm glad our lanc unknowingly did that.

Fantastic & moving footage of Lanc, Spit, Mozzi and Hurricanes. Oh, that we could see that for real here in Ol' Blighty.

Vulcan and both Lancasters to be at Waddington on 21 Aug ---hopefully flying together but British weather could intervene. I will try to be there.
OMG, if so, must take a video of that!!
music to the ears
In June I was fortunate enough to get a flight in the Canadian Lancaster. Link to the flight here Flight in a Lancaster Bomber

What a shame they couldnt get the Woodhall lancaster an airworthiness certificate; the sound of three flying together would have been superb!!
There will be some flypasts at East Kirkby with Just Jane taxying .

What's the crack there then? As I hear that Lanc could fly no problem.
I think that there is still a lot of testing to be done ---best check their site and pages etc.
