- Glasgow has a lot to be happy about this year. With Radio 1 Live Weekend, The Commonwealth Games and the MTV Europe Music Awards all taking place in our vibrant city, we couldn't hold our happiness in any longer. So we decided to hit the streets in our finest tartan ensembles, taking inspiration from Pharell Williams, and spread a bit of happiness to all corners of Glasgow and beyond. It's good to see people dancing in kilts. It kind of reminded me of my ancestry: Irish and Scottish. By the way I like your video. I wish. Irish male dancers wear their kilts like the Scottish people do.

The team behind this and in front of the camera done an incredible job showcasing why us Glaswegians are truly happy .... despite our Scottish summers lol.
A similar video was done recently too showcasing Glaswegians who do enjoy the social aspect of bingo...Mecca Quay Glasgow. No matter what age you are, you can be happy whilst having some fun in the process.

i still don't get why women think they should wear kilts, to me a kilt is more then a dress and women can wear a dress any day of the year. i feel they are incroucing on the idea of an outfit designed specifically for men, traditionally women wore a long dress with a matching tartan

Not really. Glasgow DOES have a lot of obese/neddy and generally undersirable people, just like any big British city. The national cuisine doesn't help...
Horribly contrived acting/dancing. Can almost hear the 'director' saying, "Okay, so just do any kinda dance and make it look like you're having a good time. You...can you do like a lasso type gesture, err...you do a Macarena style dance, err...anyone else got any suggestions? Ah, yes...link arms and we'll capture a scene of you coming down some steps, but make it look like you're really happy and swish each leg out to the side with each step, that'll look good. Aaaaand ACTION!" Actually made me feel uncomfortable.
