It's funny how Tomas Vikstrom of Therion gets tons of hate for filling in for Mats who everybody seemed to love when in Therion, but now that he is in Candlemass everybody hates him for not being Messiah.

I think all of the Candlemass singers have been amazing. I feel like they fit different moods. Sometimes you might like one more than another, and then switch it up later on.
He's got a good voice, more gravel on the chorus. And besides, you can't expect him to be Marcolin; complaining about him not being there won't magically bring him back.
I still wonder why Mats didn't get the part. He proved many times he's the perfect front man for Candlemass. He's got the voice...he can be be as theatrical as Messiah and he can be raw as hell. He should've have been on King of the Grey Islands. I've heard the demos...and it's way better than Robert.
The problem is the guitars are tuned down and that doesn't suit Mat's singing, if they were in standard tuning he would be more in his natural vocal range making it all sound more powerful

Messiah is great but people should learn to appreciate the performance itself, not just personalities. I prefer Messiah in this song because it's iconic but this performance is still kicking ass regardless.
Robert Lowe is the best singer Candlemass ever had. However, the best songs of Candlemass were sung by Messiah, that's why when I think of Candlemass I think of Messiah. I just cannot enjoy this song with this singer..
