Did this affext your lean angle too badly? Kinda torn between going Joker Machine mini boards vs this. Not sure if it messes with the excellent handling of the fat bob or whether the seze boost from mini to full is really worth it. Never had boards before. My pegs are ok for around town, but omfg my right leg cramps way too much, gotta do something.
I can, I could basically take the smaller spacer out of the front and add it to the back. That's probably what I'll do until I get some funds for a new pedal. I just can't bring myself to bend this one.
That’s what I was going to suggest too. Play with the spacers and move it back that little bit. I like how you make it work every time. Keep it up man!
I swapped one of the back half inch spaces to the front and gained the clearance needed. I still might look into another brake pedal since this one is kinda flat, but everything is functional now.
Harley screwed the fat bob up. It has the most performance seating position of all the softails. It has low bars. You could go a little high. (No apes on performance bikes!) but then they gave it forwards because riding down the road folded in half makes sense 🙄. It needs mids. “But I’m 6 foot..” no one cares. Mids are better for riding. If you want a chopper get a chopper. If you want a drag bike get a v rod. Forwards have no place on a motorcycle. Mids or FXR/dyna defender/bagger style boards. But the whole assembly not just the boards. also an ugly head light and awful exhaust. Mix the fat bob and the low rider s and that’s a bike. They fucked it up. I’m not talking about opinions or who likes what. It’s objectively true that low bars and forwards, putting you in that stupid VRod riding position sucks. Forwards and apes suck. All the hell yea brothers can be mad. I was a chopper and bobber kid. I still love those bikes. But a panhead with forwards and apes is a beautiful Sunday cruiser. Not a shredder. The vrod was fast. Great motor. Shit chassis (to work on) and the forawards made it useless. Why Harley does “performance” bikes and puts forwards in them I have no idea. No motorcycle built to compete has ever used forwards. Mids or rear sets. Or floor boards that mount to the mid mount and forward mount. Like the FXR police. Dyna defender and bagger stuff. Which is what I prefer for a performance oriented mile crusher. Usually I say just my opinion. But this isn’t. This is all objectively true that forwards are ass for everything except cruising down the road slow and not riding hard because you will not have the control you need. You can not push on the chassis correctly the weight goes in the wrong spot and fucks the geometry up also. High way pegs and dude putting their feet up their before they leave parking lots. Dog the bounty hunter needs to stop playing cheer leader on his harley and just hang it up. The hell yea brother stuff is done. It’s time to go. Performance or show. No more live to ride brother bull shit.

Do they fold up? If not could be tricky when you scrape the road with them on the curves.
They do fold up. I've dragged them a few times already with no issues.
Where did you find the mounting brackets?
Only issue I see here is the boards wont flop up when you scrap.. could catch and cause you to go down

How has it held up?
Held up great. One of the best mods I've done. Long rides are so much more comfortable.
So what floorboards *would* fit on that bracketry from HD without issues?
Currently anything from the 18’ softail line.
