THis week is ultra league and great league summer cup. Summer cup is a limited meta. In this video we go over the Best Summer Cup Teams.
Looking at a viewer submitted summer cup team featuring no pokemon in the top 100 - gyarados, typhlosion, and whimsicott.
It’s purely a guess, but I think they are using both back pokemon as safe swaps. They switch into whim against charjabug bc both back pokemon can deal with it, and typhl is the harder counter for charjabug when it comes back in later. I do this too, I swap my bad lead with my second best option and hope to like grab a shield
he goes with whatever is the second best counter so that he still keeps the best counter for it in the back when the opponent swaps
I don't care if the resisted incinerates do the same damage as a neutral shadow claw, ive ran it for days with both fast moves and being able to throw your moves on better timing and be able to make catches more efficiently makes shadow claw the far superior move to me

The thoughtprocess behind swaping to typhlosion vs dewgong is that even if they manage to grab a shield I will get it back because noone really wants to take a hit from typhlosion even if they resist it. Also some fun plays in to it. Energy on typhlosion is always fun! ;)

Honestly, I think Gyrados is best off sacrificed to get shield advantage/farm for the typhlosion in back. If your Typhlosion has two shield and one or two incinerates under its belt there's not much that wants to switch into that

Hi Dan, I'm using shadow A Golem and it's kicking Charjabugs/Galvantulas and fire mons alike. It's really a spicy funny pick and got me to rank 19 last night with 11-4 streak!
