For those who are here for the feature differences.
The U1 didn't have bluetooth macros (actions) while the U2 does...

Yeah idk I bought one and after programming all the devices into the remote it appears you have to manually switch back to your audio device whenever you want to adjust the volume and then switch back to the media device to control what you are viewing which is extremely annoying and from what I can tell there is no solution. Couldnt figure the macro programming out either. Tried pressing all kinds of buttons and the app didnt register anythjng. Maybe its a bug or maybe im doing something wrong because their instructions suck and after spending half an hour manually programming each individual remote button onto this thing with a super buggy IR sensor Im pretty much over it.

This is definitely a product that the more tech savvy you are, the better because, yeah, it's not "hard" to program necessarily but definitely not "simple." However, what you want to do can be done. After you have ALL your devices set up, you can go into a specific device on the remote then assign the keys for that device to control any OTHER device you have in the remote. So if you have your Audio Device setup already and you have your TV setup already, you can no go into your TV Remote settings and edit the buttons and select the volume + button and select to have it trigger Volume Up on your Audio Device. You do NOT need to switch to your audio device each time - as you said, that would make having a smart remote useless. Everything you want to do can be done - it just takes a little time and effort and patience to figure it all out. Once you get it set up, it's great!

@hollywoodfrodo yeah I eventually figured that part out but as I said, their instructions suck and the app doesnt really make it clear thats what you are actually doing while you are doing it. Only having the ability to connect to 1 bluetooth device at a time makes figuring some of this out an unnecessary nuisance and the entire macro screen makes things way more confusing than it needs to be. It looks like somebody started designing a good quality universal remote and then slapped the whole project together in a hurry at the end and shoved it out the door.

Here my question can you turn off all your devices at one power button or do u have to do one by one ??

You can do it with one. It can be programmed to send signals to turn off all the devices associated with a particular activity.

No backlighting on the buttons is a serious ommision on their part. Makes the remote unusable in a dark room. I would order one right now if it had backlighting but without it it's useless for use in my bedroom at night.

I agree - it seems like such an easy thing to do especially on a "high end" remote like this. Hoping the next version - U3 - will fix this!!!

Unfortunately, no. Not on either model. It's my one complaint. Hopefully the U3 (whenever it comes out) will have them...
