Man! This guy is the real thing! I love all of his covers on the old songs. He just gives them new life! Have we found a replacement for the Chairman of the Board?
It's really amazing the number of different ways this song can be sung. Ella Fitzgerald, Stevie Wonder and Michael are all completely different, but each one works.
i didn't know much about michael buble's music. but i heard one of the characters on the last episode of Fringe sing it and i was interested. thank you for the awesome video post! i now have a great appreciation for this kind of music like i've never had before!
@rb43poo it s more based on the swing version by james brown i think, not the more soulful one (n the original)with tha t bassline that made the song a class above :Dbut even so i like that u mentioned my bass idol:)
I like Buble's voice. It's pleasant enough. But he isn't bringing anything new, and that's the problem. I can't help comparing it with his recent predecessor's, Harry Connick. Before that, it was Ole' Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra, who without his brilliant voice and incomparable phrasing none of these youngsters would have a career at all.
Michael Buble is not my hero merely a decent singer..and my comment may have been stupid but it was still an accurate assessment of his singing. He was a great entertainer, but a naff singer..

Everyone gets to understand the full concept of this song at least once in his life.
And I'm beginning to now.
He chooses great songs to sing and sings them really well.
