Only Blohm und Voss could out-ugly the Stuka [2:02] with their Ha137. [And I find the BV 141 to be beautiful.] I have an unbuilt kit of the Bloch MB 200. Some friends and I had a D&D campaign of Call of Cthulu, ''At the Mountains of Madness,'' set in 1930s Antarctica, and the Bloch was to be one of our research aircraft.
You are almost correct: The Mitsubishi Ki-20 is a Japanese bomber variant of the Junkers G.38 airliner but Mitsubishi did manufacture 6 aircraft under license from Junkers.
"You came in THAT? You're braver than I thought." - A Princess Far Far Away
Buses with wings. Wonderful late 20's, early 30's. Britain had their own share.
LOOK AT THE PICTURES OF THE PLANES IN THE MOVIE"THINGS TO COME' 1936
Good selection. Blackburn can certainly give the french a run for their money 😂
The gauntlet has been thrown!! Troopers up for the challenge!!
The crazy thing is, even if it was only once, they flew!
I actually like the look of some of those, to be fair it was the infancy of aircraft for most of those, model on
Flying Eurotrash and flying sushi that make the Curtiss A-8 look modern by comparison.
The Amoit 140 gets my vote.
I think those engineers went home and said to their 3 year old draw me an airplane
🤣😂
Rex's Hangar did a video on the Amiot today. Would be an interesting build.
That was what inspired this.
Thank you.
Some great ideas. The Vultur looks like one.
What a lovely batch, dont think I would fly in any of them :)

Good song.
Some great inspirations Max!
I’ll add the Boeing T-7 trainer…
from Japan: Nakajima KI-87
😂some of these airplanes must have been inspired by nightmares.
Pilot's nightmares
But, try finding model kits of these Ugly Ducklings! 😅
Just use your spare parts box and randomly put pieces together. One could probably come up with a reasonably close match up to any one of them. 🙂
I HAVE SEEN SOME OF THE KITS ON ANDY NOVICE MODELING AND THE MIDLIFE CRISIS YT CHANNEL.
THAT AND A LOTS OF COUGH MEDS.@@garfieldsmith332
I have 1/72 kits of the BV141 and the MB.200.

When is the ugly plane group build ? I found a bloch mb 200 in my stash
Interesting - nearly all the aircraft are from the inter-war period.
An era of "Hey, let's try this!" in aircraft development. Some interesting looking cars from the same time period, too.
That Mitsubishi isn't. It's a Junkers G38 airliner converted into a bomber transport.

You "stole" that from Rex's Hangar!!!
But of course I did (Sean Connery voice).
