    Great video! nice to see I'm not the only one counter sinking their frame screw holes! It always makes me wince when I hear other peoples whoops slamming down on the floor 😵

    loved this video, the part with the dremel ill copy :D why did u destroy the pigtail tho? weight savings? im also curious about these canopies vs the string ones, i heard when u use the ones u used in this video the camera pcb slams into the fc when crashing and is a potential damage point. do u have many fc's dying?

    link to that canopy? can't tell what you're saying the CC says "pantic filicino" i have no idea what that is lol.

      Edit: first reply got vanished by UA-cam, was something along the lines of:
      “It’s the TinyEye by PMantix, files are available on thingiverse”
      Oh wait, actually got the model wrong. But PMantix is the person he is referring to and the TinyEye is a different pinch canopy from the same person.

      Looks like it’s the “pp seatbelt” designed by the same guy

    I have sheered the ufl off, so I rotate the board to put the antenna up front

    What’s the brand soldering helping hand thing you used?

    What is the advantage of buying and assemble all the pieces, over buying a bnf like air65? I think bnf is cheaper and with same result

    • @CustomFPV
      @CustomFPV  День тому

      Racers like us enjoy building custom aircraft for our needs! I like the tiny whoop motors and the pinch camera, which you could either buy a BNF and swap those parts on to or you could buy the individual parts and custom build, which allows further personalization!

    i was wondering, do you guys still trim your whip antenna?? i guess i got use to it making micros and never really saw a down side. does the metal casing really help video that much?? great video as always boys!

    • @CustomFPV
      @CustomFPV  2 дні тому +1

      In most cases, yeah. This was a pretty basic build (metal screws and all, ya know) so he didn’t bother on this one but typically we shave weight down pretty low. If you watch Nightwings sub 15g Air65 mods video you can see a bit more of what he typically does when going ultra light. but we have found sometimes that added weight is just fine for a general purpose freestyle/race/geurilla whoop. Especially in the video department, that metal sheath definitely improves video. Hope this helps!

      @CustomFPV thanks dude! Appreciate it. Mine always got stuck in my duct so I would chop them but I'll try it again and see. I use to never see full whips and now I do again so was just curious haha

      @CustomFPV  2 дні тому +1

      @@GeekBench92 i always recommend that if you choose to mod your antenna, always have an unmodified one on hand, especially if you are racing. If your video is bad, you can always do a quick swap worst case scenario

    • @CustomFPV
      @CustomFPV  День тому

      I think it’s somewhere around 16.5-17g, but it’s got metal screws so it definitely could be lighter

    DO you think the 4 in 1 and 5 in one are good to use in races now? I heard betafpv fixed the issue

    • @CustomFPV
      @CustomFPV  2 дні тому +1

      @LoganimFPV Yes, as far as I know the recent batches are approved to be flown at whooptopia, which is a good benchmark for race-legal equipment. You should be good to go!

    Why don’t you just use a countersink bit ???? lol maybe 45 degree

    • @CustomFPV
      @CustomFPV  2 дні тому

      great question, that’s one for nightwing. I personally don’t countersink and haven’t seen too many negative affects of it. but i’m not sure if it’s difficult to find a bit that small or what, but these grinding bits seem to do a similar thing. they used to just melt them open a bit with a soldering iron tip. Personally, my frames don’t last long enough to justify countersinking lol.

    • @nightwingfpv
      @nightwingfpv 2 дні тому

      Ive found that using an actual bit can be difficult because the bite too much and just drill right through the plastic. But if you have a different idea I am always open
