Although I'm not a fan of this ending, this score is absolutely beautiful - an almost Pink Floyd vibe to it. Should've found a space for it in the end credits.
OMG. This scene. I was NOT emotionally prepared for it. Not one bit. It effed me up BAD. It is the absolute best, most important scene in the film. I can't believe that a scene so perfect actually got CUT and went totally unseen for so long.
This is absolutely the most dramatic and intense part of the score. It’s awesome and tear-jerking at the same time.

The scene where he brings her to the plant slowly has got to be one of my most loved scenes in a film. The music is just that impactful.
Agreed tenfold
before the musical 1983, why didn't they have the happy ending instead? so it can be on musical everywhere
If they ever make a stage musical of Howard Ashman's life, they should so play this as he ascends to heaven
I’m not crying, you’re crying!! 😭😭
Easily the best track in the film. So sad it was cut. Who’s idea was it to invent test audiences?!
Imagine this song being played on Final Fantasy 7 during Aerith's death scene
That guitar is beautiful.
Music by Alan Menken
Arrangement by Miles Goodman
I pictured this song for some reason as I was reading the last few pages of Uzumaki
I played this along with the sad ending of Studio Ghibli's "Grave of the Fireflies".
I love to see someone edit the ending with this song now
@@davidfarmer2193I hope someone makes it into a video
