    How can the commentator say that there’s not much between the two boats? That was a dominant display by the kiwis.

      He was speaking to the speed of the boats. The win was due to the skill and performance of the crew not the boat. Kiwi crew gets the credit.

    First tack upwind was a touch and go. That showed immediately how slow they were compared to NZ.

      Because "monetization" is based on various "statistics" such as likes and it prevents people from "gaming the system" loading up with fake, repetitive likes.
      How in the hell is it possible to like a single video multiple times anyway, BTW?

    22:34 Looks like Burling thought the race was over....what else could he have been doing - never noticed that until now. TNZ fans need to hope his match race starts have gotten much much better b/c he might not be driving a boat that is generations ahead of everyone else.

      They use drones. You can actually see them in shot sometimes. They have several of them whizzing around filming.

    I can't understand why they bear away a little prior to tacking. The boat speed increase is negligible compared to the loss to windward.

      The cranking pumps the oil through the hydrolics which is used to move everything on the boat.

    "Pitbull" Spithill turned into a puppy. To have the backing of Oracle data empire on board electronics then balls up the start like that is a joke. Their systems were 3rd rate. I would say Coutts was gone from the team at this stage.

      Spithill completely bungled the start--it was obvious they were way to close to the start line way too soon. Not sure what they were doing. NZ didn't have a great start either--but better than U.S.

    The more I watch this the more amazed I am at how slack USA were. Under no pressure. As soon as they entered the course their flight control was poor and the time on distance to the start through the whole final was pathetic. It looked like Oracle software had pulled the plug?

      You are full of crap,and a total joke. I was there and I know for a fact that over 100,000 people visited - through numbers reported of passport entries at the airport, number of hotel rooms rented, and number of boats docked... There was over 20,000 people on the water each day....

      I can’t speak for everybody here in the US, but I would certainly hope not, that would just be sour grapes. The majority of AC-watching Americans I know respect ETNZ a lot (whether they support them or not)- after all, they’re awesome!

    Nice, only problem. They couldn't put up the challenger races in order. To save their souls. Just pitifull. I un-subscibed in protest. I and a lot of people can't afford, or get to Bermuda. So was it that much of a problem to get the races uploaded in order????

      The old 12m displacement sailing had some pretty sad racing too, i remember on many an occasion a boat being beaten by 3-5 minutes . .TNZ in 95 beat 1 of the weaker challengers by 10+ minutes. . .Oracle won the cup off Alinghi with a margin which was ridiculous as well, guess what i'm trying to say is the odd mismatch is not a new phenomena.
