I also think this might be the incorrect fluid, not a big deal just get the correct stuff for the four spd. I am sure it helped just to drain that old fluid, consider this exercise a flushing out. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to additional videos.
Thanks for the video. But like another commenter said, it is the wrong fluid. Need to use Dexron III. I just bought mine from Oreily's but any Dexron III should work. Is there any reason why you chose to use RTV instead of a precut gasket?
@@thefadshow is your manual called for Type type IV ATF? or it called for DEXTRON III-IV ? , because what you got is not DEXTRON ! Type IV is different till 2002 LX and LC is using DEXTRON III 2003 - 2005 is Type-IV 2006+ is ATF WS
@@skhochay Where can I find more about this? My LC has lost its owner manual over the years and I can't figure out which fluid I require. Your message has me thinking I need Toyota D III because it is a 1999.
It’s cheaper to have the dealer or any shop do it. The fluid price adds up, time, mess and it also gets recorded on Carfax and increases resale value when done by a shop. I learned the hard way. On newer cars its a must to have a shop do the maintenance specially If you have any type of warranty, they will ask for service records or deny your claim.
Nice dry underside on your Cruiser.
Good job!

Thank you for the information. I’ll do some more research for next change.
