great tutorial bro...very helpful specially on me who beginner in this kind of job..just don't stop sharing your knowledge and God will give you more blessings and fruitful life.
Good job,,but one important thing you missed. The finish pass on the helix with the ball endmill needs to be done on y0.0. cutting on the side of the part will effect the helix angle of the pitch...Don't you think?
Fairly well good job....but, you forgot about the helix angle on the thread like groove. Cutting on the side of the part with the ball endmill on finish cut will effect this angle.....Finish pass on helix with ballmill must be done on Y0.0...Don't you think?
Thanks Joe, I think if you use a small tool - smaller than the profile and if the helix angle is not too high, it will be no problem. You can take a look on the picture here i1285.photobucket.com/albums/a586/GIANGTHETOOL/Untitled_zpsyrjwrxe6.png Do you agree?
Whats up Tool? I got to thinking, we assumed you was cutting the radius helical profile with a straight liner move parallel with the helical axis and the cutter at perpendicular. Meaning the cutter centerline is vertical. ex. VMC. From your picture, I assume, you surface machine the radius helical profile with a small ballnose cutter and do not machine the radius helical profile with a full size cutter as cutting a thread pitch..Anyway, you got it going on. Keep up the good work.....it is a complicated trade were in......and most people don't have a clue.
Hello from Russia, I really like your videos, thank you for doing this !!! It's very cool !!!

I was thinking the same. The sides of the tools will overcut the groove sides.
Great Job! Thank You!
Thank you sir good video. If you give step file. It will be helpful to practise it
amazing man!!!!!!
