I would like to say HUGE Thank You! Evercade collection builder is awsom tool and together with EverSD backup functionality it is something that makes Evercade VS better. Entire collaction can be taken on one SD card (for example for vacation). As I'm big fun of retro physical copies (display on the shelf) I'm also full supporter for such enhancements. Great job!!!

This is amazing! I didn’t want a way to load up Retroarch and ROM files, I already have too many ways to do that with other systems. I just want to be able to have all my carts available in one place

Thanks for the video Eric! Is there a tutorial on how to backup your carts? I'm trying to find a getting started style tutorial

okay let me get this straight. I can use the everSD to put all carts on there and not have to switch cartridges and its still using the default user interface? that would be exactly what I want. I do have a retropie so Im not interested in roms or whatever, Im just looking for a way to have all the evercade cartridges on available at once...is this how it works?

You got it. You use an EverSD and a VS to backup original Evercade carts, and then take those backups to your PC and run this tool to automate converting those backups to what is essentially a fully functional multi-cart that appears as if you have all of your carts inserted at once. They all function the same as the originals and will work on any ever made you can patch to support EverSD. Come ask about it in the discord if you like. Many people there have been using it for a while and can tell you what they think about it.

hello, can i use my usual SD card (the one with retroarch and the various stuff i am already using inside the eversd) or it is better to use another SD?

You can. It will just mix your collected cartridges in with whatever else is already on your sd card. I personally think it's better to dedicate an 8gb or larger card to it that you would just add to as time passes and you buy more carts - like the two new carts releasing in just over a week from now.

@@brianbabin6333 after extracting this to your SD card, you would put your EverSD into your patched VS and use the X-TRA app (in the VS menu) to make backups of your retail carts to the EverSD. Then you put the SD card back in the PC and run the script. It will convert copies of the backups you made into a playable collection that will work on any patched VS or patched original Evercade Handheld. Feel free to join the EverSD Discord and ask me or others for help with this or anything else Evercade. Link is in the description.

@@esmith13Thank you so much for this Fantastic program! You are the Greatest! This is exactly what I needed and it exceeded all expectations. Also I had the same issue as the other guy. Turns out you need to place some files onto your micro SD first, in order for the Evercade to recognize the EverSD cart. Afterwards things were up and running.

@@Computerguy81 Glad you like it. If you have any issues or questions come chat about it in the EverSD Discord. I'd be happy to help or listen to any suggestions for future versions. I'm also working on a version of this that runs entirely on the VS itself for fun. No PC needed aside from copying the initial files to the SD Card. 🙂

I have a collection of Evercade games. I think I may back them up as I often hear horror stories of cartridges bricking and it would be great if there was a method to restore them if it happens to any of mine. How do I transfer my data from my legal cartridges to my PC?

If you own a VS, you can patch it and use EverSD to both backup and restore your cartridges. If you don't but you can do basic soldering, then you can build a super cheap Cart Reader with just a GBA Cart slot, 8 pieces of wire, and either a free mSD to SD adapter or a USB mSD/SD Card reader. Feel free to hit me up on Discord if you need help with the specifics.
