I’ve always completely wrapped carbon bikes in 3m tape and than used automotive ceramic coating on top. It’s absolutely worth all day hassle. Another thing I’ve done on carbon MTBs is to wrap inside chainstays with aluminum tape. That stuff is durable and prevents mud damaging the carbon.
ooh the automotive coating is genius. I will definitely do that with this bike. I have been planning to with this new bike... just need to spend the time. Great idea for the alloy tape!
Might save some people a few costly mistakes. In the UK there are now some places you can hire bags. Could be a really good way to try it and check they fit before splashing out on a full set up.
@@wattwagon haha yea I have loads of bits and bobs and bags of different sizes. Think it takes a while to workout what you need and of course there is a bag for all occasions!
Stunning paint job. That mauve colour almost makes the frame look like a drawing. Love it

I don't believe you like water bottles Cynthia, I seem to remember you liked to jetison them early on stages in the BC Bike Race
HAHA that was.... a sad week or losing that badlands water bottle.... too many times to count.
arent you supposed to allow the alcohol to dry as a degreasing solution rather than applying the heli tape while wet?
maybe? I have always seen it applied wet. Alcohol dries so eventually it's gone.
Since when have Park Tool offer the Big Blue Roll Around Tool Storage Cabinet? BNRATSC-101.
oooh I am not sure! It's inside this educational bike school so maybe they made em custom?
