Nissan X trail Drivers Auto Window Up Problem - how to fix

Thanks for the video! I was living with this little annoying window problem for 7 years. In Nissan they didn't know how to fix it. Now thanks to you I got rid of the problem.

Just replaced the driver window mechanism, as the old ones cable had unwound, fitted a new mechanism and was then able to reset the full up position following your video, thanks saved a lot of head scratching and a few pounds doing it myself.

Just had to do this for my grandmother. 😂
She was told it would need a new switch and or motor but I knew there should be some sort of reset function/height adjustment for the pinch protection so googled it and 2 minutes later its working again.

Great video! Just a few of points if the author scruffymid doesn’t mind my input. The circuit is very sensitive and can bump the window back if the glass sticks to the rubber channel which could trigger the ant-pinch function. Liberally lubricate the rubber channel with silicon spray or similar. Carry out the reset procedure if this fails.
This is taken from an Australian site:
1. Close the door window completely.
2. Press the reset switch and open the door window completely.
3. Release the reset switch. Ensure the reset switch has returned to the original position, and then close the door window completely.
4. The limit switch is now reset.
*Be sure to manually open or close the door window (Do not use the automatic open-close procedure).
When all is done, test the anti-pinch function by holding a piece of wood in the way of the closing window. Before closing up it would be a good idea to lightly lubricate the metal clips with petroleum jelly.

Not sure exactly what I did but after watching your vid and removing the panel as you did, a wiggle of the screwdriver managed to sort. Untold stress avoided. Cheers

Thanks, just done my window, was like this when i got mine. Holding the reset button was temperamental, which I had end up doing it around 3 times to get correct.

Drivers seat belt warning light dash won't go out when plugging seat belt into stalk...but will go out if I plug in passenger seatbelt into passenger seat belt stalk...any tho ghts on rectifying problem appreciate...

I got this suv model, my driver's side door window goes so slow going up and when it rains it's even slower or stops 20% up, i ended up having to pull it up while using the botton.

Exact same thing for me yesterday and it was -19c, very cold. Had to get out of car and pull window, while using button.

My passenger power window doesn't work when I press the switch. But works from the driver side any suggestions ?

I think they are linked directly together so is likely the switch itself. The only way to check is to take the switch out and test it, but if you can get a cheap switch on eBay you could swap it and hope it works. I have the wiring diagram somewhere, will try and find it tomorrow.

All our passenger windows go down with their own switch, but not up. Have to get driver to put up. Any help would be great. Not convinced all switchers are worn, happened about 12 months after getting car.

Hello, my back passenger window doesnt work itself, i tried to fix it myself but now it doesnt work either from driver switch...i checked there is no blown fuse, there is electricity at the switch, but it still wont work, all other windows are okay...any suggestions would be helpful

They changed the model in 2007 / 2008 but I don't know if it was a facelift only. Unfortunately the only way to know is to take the handle or door panel off and look for the same motor system.
