Paire running around his FH to hit the inside-out backhand approach is just classic! 🤣Esp on grass he really slices and bunts and protects that FH like an old-fashioned 1HB
Opelka is back on the rise!
He‘s already tall enough - don’t let him rise any further!!
@@pilzz03 lol bro
@@pilzz03 lol
If he rises any more, he'll be 8 feet tall.
Opelka is impressive, 2 years out and he's in the semifinal, beating decent grass court players.
Yes, the surface is relatively fast, but with such low bouncing and a massive physique, it must be exhausting, don't underestimate what he's doing.
Macdonald just recovered from surgery. Yeah. Not like he’s facing prime top 50 even.
@@tomk5238
The F are you talking about? McDonald played 4 grass tournaments prior to this including Wimbledon.
He also played Rome, RG, some challengers as well.
Yes, he's not close to his best, n but he didn't just 'came out of surgery, that's plane false man, disinformation.
Are we watching this from the space station ?
no because space is fake and ghey. #ResearchFlatEarth
I wish we could get this view for every match. I'm still gonna give a thumbs up though 😊
Opelka's determination level is on high.
Never seen Paire so taken by a player, he was checking him out on changeover too.😂
Its a European thing. He's very, VERY French.
opelka's kick serve is insane.
130mph+ kick right at yo face lol
Good game between Paire and Giron.
Thought opelka had retired since I haven't seen him for so long. Glad he is back.
I have never seen Paire play so patiently. He was so in control of this match really thought he could made in to the semis.
Opelka is deadly when fit
Gigantor is back!!!🎉
5:42 that embrace at the net is just lovely to watch.
What happened to Pair? He looks like the chillest guy ever on the court. He found his inner peace finally? So happy for him!
Opelkas game is such a novelty. So cool to watch b.
Owesome Opelka!!
Opelka with a great run thus far. Impressive coming off the long layoff
Was he injured? If yes, since when and when did he return?
@@markuse3472He has been injured for almost 2 years. He played his last match in Washington DC 2022 and he has just come back in this tournment.
@@why_Fred03He actually played the charlottesville Challenger in 2023 but only won one match. This is his atp comeback.
@@why_Fred03 He also played the Charlottesville Challenger last November.
SPOILER BLOCKER
God's work
Congratulations 2 Opalka, he already earned essentially entire 1-year rent! If he goes to final, he will have rent n food covered in just a week work! I am happy for him! Keep going at least to final.
He was a bum all this time?
Lol he has career winnings of 4 million dollars, I think he will manage just fine
@@jordanvespa720 maybe he is like Nick Cage, this guy spent millions on bullshit
The King Opelka is on 😮
Nice to see opelka on the court
So good to see Reilly back on tour. Not only that he's moving well and winning matches!
As Novak fan I came here for Opelka, been following him in this tournament, hope he wins it, would be a great comeback for him after the injury. Always rooting for him!
me too😊 so glad he's back ❤
OPELKA YOU RIPPER!
Opelka is 6'11" but he runs fairly well and can rally from the baseline. His serve is big but Isner's was bigger. Karlovic's serve was bigger too.
Opelks cant run or move. Ivo was better
Opelka moves with all the grace of a stiff old log, lol (and I say that with all respect; I like to watch him). Isner had a decent game from the baseline. He was slightly more stable on his serve also.
Opelka is better than karlovic or isner ever was lol. He actually has a backhand and moves well for his height
@@operation2096 Actually, Isner was quite good although he didn't move that well. It was very hard to break Isner's serve.
Notice at 12:15 Opelka sticks his tongue to the right indicating the direction he is going to serve in which is out wide. Kinda reminds me of a habit Becker had too.
really
2:36 Giron makes Paire hit 10 forehands in a row. Loses the point the moment Paire gets a backhand. Just Paire things.
I don't like Paire and I'm glad he lost and I'm a total Giron fan.... but damn Benoit is one talented tennis player. His variety and hand-eye skills are top 10 ever in the sport. This is one of the best matches I've seen him play.
Everybody happy to see Opelka back go over there and wait in that phone booth.
Kovacevic - Michelsen THIS match could not have been shown, I was rooting for Peer and Opelka, I hope to see Riley in the final
Lord Paire at 1% of his power, still had a shot at winning
that is perhaps the most full beard I've ever seen
Both Opelka and Paire have a lot of Chin Spinach(BEARD).
Great match from Akex. 👍
Michelsen tiene un gran parecido al actor británico Will Poulter 😮
A good old choke, Benoit never disappoints.
I love tennis :)
McDonald vs Opelka is like David vs Goliath 😂
its hard to not believe that paire is involved in illegal gambling, all his matches end the same way....
McDonald ... proud graduate of the Kokkinakis school of tennis fashion.
Paire has by far the worst forehand on the tour
Unfortunately, this tournament will be downgraded to Challenger status next year. A grass court tournament coming right after Wimbledon and their inability to attract big names probably sealed their fate.
I know just then the dj played Battisti in the third set 😅😅😅
good to see benoit enjoying his tennis again #mentalhealth
オペルカ久しぶり
If Paul Bunyan and Grizzly Adams had a son......
how did Paire lose winning 3-0 in the last set, I love the player but he was a notorious problem with throwing seemingly won games
オペルカのキックサービスもっと見せて
Paire inside out backhand lol he really does not want to hit forehand
The ball looks so heavy it seems they all play with wooden racquets.
Damn Tom Hanks still looking for Wilson? Now on a tennis court? Makes sense I guess.
Hope Reilly stays healthy. The most un-bot servebot on tour
McDonald's gentle smash lost the game, same as a few years ago against Querrey, one lame ass shot. But he's had some sensational games especially vs Sinner
오펠카 네트플레이 연습 마이 했나보네
Cast Away Reilly
Wasn't Paire's racquet always painted blue?
I guess the Aero doesn't sell that well anymore after Nadal is no longer in the headlines.
De towel bringers are back
Why are ball kids giving them towels all of a sudden? It’s gross.
can Paire at least play one match where he actually enjoys the sport called tennis??? If you are so bored, then just retire dude
gieco is so easy a caveman can do it
American defeated a native american
Giron 4-6 7-5 6-4 Paire
Michelsen 6-4 6-4 Kovacevic
Opelka 4-6 6-3 6-4 McDonald
What a loser you are
Opelka needs to understand that he is rubbish, he is not a tennis players, he has to suck
Tired of that pathetic serve bot that Opelka is. Atp should ban this style of play
lol that you didn’t watch the match without telling us. Good returns, good running in the baseline. Stop the stupid servebot arguments. He was broken. He was a set down. And still came back. All this after long injury. I’m actually surprised his serve isn’t bigger on grass especially. But he made up for it with willpower and actual rallies. 😊😊 now go and cry in another corner. Different play styles are what make tennis interesting. Try and learn
