Haha I feel you, I was similarly desperate. I got these on Poshmark and then paid a third party authenticator as well to be safe. Not something I'd recommend to the risk-averse because Poshmark is sketchy as hell.
Think it would be possible to shave the hair?
Definitely never considered that hahaha, wild thought! I think it'd look terrible, because there are all of these panels overlaying each other and you wouldn't be able to shave under them. The time to shave the leather would've been before the shoes were made, when they just had the sheets of it ready to sew.
