This topic of spine matching just reminds of of trad "bow tuning" in which most everything done to make your broadheads fly right is done at the arrow. Draw weight is set. Amount of shelf offset/center shot is more or less set (can do some stuff with strike plates or, if you are real bold, sandpaper). Draw length is easier to change, but... pick a solid, consistent anchor point and leave well enough alone. Tiller (at least on single piece) is set. Sure you can fiddle with split vs 3 under release, nocking point height, and brace height, but that will only get you so far. To improve your arrow fligt, well you adjust the arrow's dynamic spine to fly out of your mostly set bow. Cut a little length here, add a little weight there, work on your form constantly and eventually you are slinging missles that hit where you are looking with a nice 2 blade on the front. I like to treat my compounds just the same as my trad bows, set up the bow and tune the arrow. We gotta remember that folks like Fred Bear and Howard Hill were getting near perfect arrow flight off of their wooden stick and string. They did it all at the arrow.

I keep it quite private and client based so there is nothing online about it, but if you’re in the area and interested in chatting with me give me your email and I’ll reach out to you! Or you can reach out to me on Instagram @hauck.bowhunter

There was one year that I had to call to renew my membership for the same reason, but their customer support is as good as the program once you get it going!
